| The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China depicted a grand blueprint for modernization with Chinese characteristics, and pointed out that in the process of realizing socialist modernization in China, the most difficult and arduous work is still in the rural areas, and we should insist on placing the "three rural issues" as the top priority of the whole Party. With the accelerated pace of agricultural modernization,China’s rural economic construction has gradually entered a new stage, the rural economic development mode has gradually undergone a fundamental change, and the rural economic growth has entered a new historical development stage. In this new stage of development, rural economic growth should be accelerated from factor-driven to innovation-driven,and increasing rural human capital investment is an effective way to improve the stock of human capital, promote rural economic growth, promote farmers’ income and wealth, and accelerate the pace of agricultural modernization. Therefore,in this context,it is more meaningful to study the impact of rural human capital on rural economic growth in China in this paper. This paper discusses the mechanism of rural human capital level affecting economic growth in China and analyzes its current situation on the basis of sorting out relevant studies on rural human capital, and provides theoretical support for the establishment of the following model, then measures the level of rural human capital from two perspectives of human capital stock and structure using the years of education method, and conducts a regional heterogeneity analysis on the level of rural human capital in the east, middle and west of China. The analysis results show that there are differences in the level of rural human capital among different regions.Second,on the basis of the C-D production function model, rural human capital stock and rural human capital heterogeneity are incorporated into the model, and a dual fixed-effects panel model with individual is established and a stepwise regression method is used to study the impact of rural human capital on rural economic growth from both the national and regional perspectives. The results show that in the national perspective, rural human capital stock, intermediate and senior rural human capital have a significant contribution to rural economic growth,in the regional perspective, rural human capital stock has a positive effect on the eastern region, rural primary human capital has a depressing effect on the eastern region, rural intermediate human capital has a contributing effect on the eastern, central and western regions, and rural senior human capital has a positive effect only in the Western region has a positive effect. In addition, rural land input, urbanization rate, fertilizer input, and machinery input all show different promoting effects in different regions. Finally, the results of this paper are summarized, and feasible suggestions are given for the improvement of rural economy based on the perspective of rural human capital level to contribute to the sustainable development of China’s rural economy. |
