| With the continuous improvement of China’s urbanization level,retail convenience stores have entered a golden period of development.As a new first-tier city,Chengdu’s rapid economic development has created a good environment for the development of convenience stores.Under this opportunity,S convenience store entered Chengdu in 2010.Under the premise of rapid expansion and strong store opening in the early stage,various problems such as rising costs and poor management were exposed.There is a large backlog of commodity inventory,inventory management is inefficient,and the operation situation is not optimistic.Taking S convenience store as the research object,through the analysis of the current situation of inventory management,thesis finds that there are three problems: "unreasonable inventory structure,high proportion of sluggish goods,and large regional differences".Through the combing of literature and interviews with enterprise experts,the influencing factors of inventory problems were preliminarily determined,and the purchase link,sales link,warehousing link and management link were analyzed respectively.The analysis results show that the three factors of ordering factors,price discount and commodity promotion affect the order quantity is greater than the demand,resulting in sluggish inventory,increased waste and reduced profit.The use of unified commodity display to correspond to the characteristics of different business districts and different consumer characteristics affects its inability to meet the needs of different regions,resulting in large differences in the inventory-to-sales ratio and waste amount of regions;The price and type of high-value commodities affect the proportion of inventory,resulting in unreasonable inventory structure and low commodity sales rate;The length of shelf life affects the assessment demand and turnover rate,resulting in high waste rate and sluggish rate;The four management factors of enterprise emphasis,informatization degree,management system and employee quality comprehensively affect the inventory management efficiency of S convenience store,resulting in low inventory management efficiency.Finally,according to the causes of influencing factors,aiming to solve the three problems of inventory,and based on the existing theory,a strategy suitable for improving the characteristics of S convenience stores is proposed.It mainly includes secondary ABC classification method,Econimic Order Quantity model,Econimic Order Quantity model with Price Discounts,single-stage model of perishable goods and retail discount model,and proposes differentiated display strategies according to regional differences.Finally,in order to further improve the inventory management efficiency of S convenience stores,four safeguard measures are proposed for the degree of emphasis,informatization,management system and personnel quality,so as to promote the overall improvement of the inventory management efficiency of S convenience stores. |
