Since ancient times,food has always been a hot topic of concern for people.The ancients said that food is the top priority for the people.This is enough to illustrate the status of food in people’s hearts.Even after the founding of the People’s Republic of China,China experienced a food crisis that resulted in many people losing their lives due to hunger.Therefore,ensuring food security has become a hot topic in political,academic,economic and other fields.In 2013,China placed "ensuring food security" at the top of its list,and in2015,the strategy of elevating food security to national security clearly stated that ensuring food security is to protect national security.In the "14th Five Year Plan" and the 2035 Long Range Goals Outline,it is pointed out that for food security,it is necessary to improve the supply guarantee system for important agricultural products and the system for grain production,storage,and sales,to ensure absolute food security,basic self-sufficiency of grains,and sufficient supply of important agricultural and sideline products.In the No.1central document in 2023,it was pointed out that we should pay full attention to food production,comprehensively consolidate the foundation of food security,and strengthen the material foundation of storing food on the ground and technology.In the face of century long changes and the pandemic of the century,it is necessary to firmly hold the Chinese people’s livelihood in their own hands,with a focus on national major strategies.China is a large country with a population of 1.4 billion,and there is a great demand for food.The core of ensuring food security is to protect the safety of grain production and achieve the bottom line idea of grain safety and basic self-sufficiency.Therefore,the primary focus of studying food security is to study the yield security of food.Clarifying the influencing factors of grain yield is of great significance for studying grain yield.Firstly,this article aims to understand the current research status of food security in the academic community through reading literature,and summarize the views of current scholars on food security research.At the same time,relevant concepts and theories were elaborated,clarifying the connotation and extension of food security,rural resource endowment,and agricultural production technology.The mechanism of the impact of rural resource endowment and agricultural production technology on food security was discovered,and the main factors affecting food security were summarized.Secondly,by analyzing the current situation of China’s food security,rural resource endowment,and agricultural production technology,problems in the grain production process are identified.The data of each indicator of 31 provinces and autonomous regions in China from 2006 to2020 are selected to construct panel data for regression analysis.The fixed effect model of panel data was used to regress the influencing factors of food security.And in order to make the results robustness.The replacement model is a stochastic frontier production function model,and regression analysis is conducted again,and the following conclusions are drawn.The research results found that labor transfer is the main cause of food production in the process of food production.The transfer of labor force will expand income,leading to the aging and weakening of grain growing labor force,resulting in the abandonment and idleness of rural land.And the concept of increasing income through labor migration will accelerate the transfer of rural labor,accelerate urbanization development,and thus suppress food production.Agricultural production technologies are all aimed at improving the efficiency of the grain production process,thereby promoting grain yield.Through the analysis of the current situation of grain production,it is found that the improvement of agricultural production technology requires more assistance from rural resource endowments,and the overall effect between these two resources is still in the complementary stage.Based on the specific rural situation,choose a suitable path for grain production and adopt a leasing method,allowing a small number of tenants to carry out large-scale planting,while other residents can rent out excess land while ensuring their own planting.Based on the current situation,problems,and conclusions,relevant suggestions are proposed: it is believed that we should accelerate the promotion of rural revitalization policies and tap into rural potential;Improve agricultural subsidy policies and increase farmers’ income;Establish a talent knowledge base and popularize agricultural knowledge;Promote measures to protect farmland and improve agricultural production technology.The innovation of this article lies in dividing the factors that affect grain production into rural resource endowment and agricultural production technology.From these two perspectives,the input of grain production factors is analyzed,and interaction terms are added to the basic model to study the relationship between the factors.At the same time,the path analysis of grain production is discussed.In order to make the conclusion robustness,two methods are used for regression at the same time to draw a consistent conclusion;The deficiency of this article lies in the lack of conceptual innovation,analyzing seed technology,greenhouse technology,etc.At the same time,the definition of food security is too simple and there is no structural research and analysis conducted.In the process of using the stochastic frontier production function model for analysis,there is no further analysis of changes in technical efficiency when technology changes.The indicators are too single and no new indicators have been added.
