| Farmers’ income is the key issue of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers".Nowadays,land transfer has become a widely recognized way to increase farmers’ income.Land transfer can not only realize the optimal allocation of land resources but also promote the transfer of rural surplus labor force.The Sichuan-Shanxi old revolutionary base area has made an important contribution in the arduous revolutionary struggle history of the Communist Party of China,but the economic development of the old area is lagging behind and the income level of farmers is low.Therefore,it is of certain practical significance to study the effect of land transfer and income increase in the old revolutionary base area to promote the income increase of farmers in the old area.This paper analyzes the current situation of land transfer and income in Sichuan-Shanxi old revolutionary base area by using the survey data.Then,based on the field survey data of Sichuan-Shanxi old revolutionary base area,OLS regression analysis is adopted to comprehensively discuss the income increasing effect of land transfer in Sichuan-Shanxi old revolutionary base area.First of all,the impact of land transfer on household income was verified,and then the impact of land transfer on household income was investigated separately by dividing land transfer into two cases: inward transferring and outward transferring.Again,the impact of inward transferring on agricultural operating income and the impact of outward transferring on wage income were analyzed from the main sources of income of farmers in old areas.Finally,the mediation effect is used to test the mechanism of inward transferring to increase agricultural operating income and outward transferring to increase wage income.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)There are some problems in the land transfer in the old revolutionary base area of Sichuan and Shanxi,such as low transfer rate,single transfer mode and non-compliance.The income level of rural households in the old area is not high,which mainly comes from operating income and wage income,among which wage income takes the highest proportion.(2)Land transfer has income increasing effect.Farmers’ participation in land transfer can promote the increase of household total income,and farmers who participated in the land transfer brought about 13.02% of the income increase to their families.Inward transferring has no significant effect on total income,but inward transferring significantly promotes the increase of agricultural operating income.Outward transferring not only has a significant positive impact on total income,but also significantly increases wage income.(3)The inward transferring to households can increase agricultural operating income by increasing agricultural production investment,the increase is about 98.64% and the mediation effect is0.1591.The outward transferring can increase wage income of households through non-agricultural employment,the increase is about 12.72% and the mediation effect is 0.0303.Both the inward transferring and the outward transferring can finally promote the growth of total household income.Therefore,in order to promote the revitalization and development of Sichuan-Shanxi old revolutionary base area and increase farmers’ income,the following policy suggestions are put forward on the actual situation of the old revolutionary base area: First,vigorously promote the participation of farmers in the old Sichuan-Shanxi revolutionary areas in land transfer and accelerate the establishment of a compliant transfer market.Second,the inward transferring households should be guided to increase investment in agricultural production and tap the income potential of land transfer.Third,for the outward transferring households,encourage their non-agricultural employment,consolidate the income effect of land transfer. |
