With the rapid development of China’s economy, the proportion of the primary industry in the three major industries has been declining. The land transfer system as a key to the reform of the land system has aroused widespread concern in the academic community.Reasonable land transfer can not only promote the rational redistribution of land resources, but also realize the scale effect of agriculture and better solve the income problem of farmers.By the end of 2016,more than 35% of households have participated in land transfer. How has the redistribution of land resources affected the income of farmers in China? This paper studies the research results of predecessors and determines the key points of this study: one is to deeply explore the impact of land transfer on the household income of Chinese farmers;the other is the income gap generated by land transfer to rural households with different income levels. This paper uses the survey sample data of the 2014 China Labor Force Dynamic Survey as the research sample, selects the farmer’s agricultural income and non-agricultural income as the explanatory variables, the transfer of land management rights, and the household resource endowment factors as the explanatory variables.Descriptive statistical analysis of samples and empirical analysis of sample OLS regression and quantile regression yield the following conclusions.Firstly, land transfer has a significant impact on farmers’ agricultural income and non-agricultural income. On the one hand, the impact of land transfer on agricultural income is negative, and the impact of land transfer on non-agricultural income is positive. On the other hand, the impact of land transfer on agricultural income is positive and has a negative impact on non-agricultural income.Secondly, the impact of land transfer to high-agricultural income users is greatest. The impact of land transfer on non-agricultural income is most pronounced among middle-high non-agricultural income users. On the other hand, land transfer into the high-agricultural income farmers is more likely to form a scale effect,so the impact on high agricultural income is large.Thirdly, the rural household labor situation, the farmer’s own agricultural fixed assets, cultivated land area and other resource endowments, the regional differences of farmers will have an impact on farmers’ agricultural income and non-agricultural income. The innovations of this paper are as follows: First, the research perspective is relatively new. This paper takes farmers as a research perspective and explores the impact of land transfer rights transfer on farmers’ income from a microscopic perspective, and quantifies it by empirical methods. The research in this paper is a partial supplement to the study of the transfer of land management rights and the income of farmers.Second, the research sample in this paper is rich, and the analysis using the quantile regression model is somewhat convincing.
