A Study On The Spatial Poverty Characteristics And Driving Factors In The Old Revolutionary Base Area Of Jiangxi Based On The Perspective Of Geographic Capital

The issue of poverty has always been an important practical issue facing all countries in the world,and it has plagued the economic and social development of all countries,especially developing countries.As the largest developing country in the world,China has achieved the greatest reduction in poverty in human history so far and made great contribution to world poverty reduction,but regional poverty is still a serious problem,which mainly belong to the Old Revolutionary Base Area.The poverty in the Old Revolutionary Base Area has become one of the main battlefields in our country,and it is the key link to achieve the goal of rural revitalization building and moderately prosperous society in all respects.Jiangxi,a typical representative of the Old Revolutionary Base Area,has lagged behind in economic and social development,and in rural living standards.The thesis regard the Old Revolutionary Base Area of Jiangxi province as a typical research object,firstly build evaluation system of spatial poverty based on geographic capital perspective,and adopt the Entropy Weight method to calculate the comprehensive poverty.Then explore the features of spatial differences and agglomeration by using GIS and Spatial Autocorrelation.Finally explore the driving factors by using Geographically Weighted Regression model and map driving factors of spatial differentiation,exploring its space characteristic of poor differentiation and driving mechanism.Based on the above research process,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)the development of the Old Revolutionary Base Area of Jiangxi has lagged behind,the poverty-stricken areas and poor people are concentrated,and the poverty incidence is high.(2)the weight and score of the economic geographic capital have the highest impact and contribution to the comprehensive geographic capital score,followed by the social geographic capital,and the environmental geographic capital again.(3)the characteristics of spatial differentiation of the Old Revolutionary Base Area of Jiangxi is obvious,and the number of poor population,poverty incidence and comprehensive geographical capital scores is high.(4)the significant cluster features of global autocorrelation is significantly positive in the Old Revolutionary Base Area,which global autocorrelation of the integrated geographic capital is the highest degree,the degree of agglomeration is the most obvious;the map of LISA show that local autocorrelation mainly are “high-high” agglomeration pattern,Which belong to the vast majority of concentrated poverty-stricken area or national poverty counties.(5)the proportion of agricultural workers has a significant positive impact on the poverty incidence.The GDP per capita,per capita income of farmers,urbanization rate and annual average precipitation have a significant negative impact on the poverty incidence,and the driving factors in the Old Revolutionary Base Area county(city,district)there are obvious differences.Based on the above conclusions,this thesis put forward the following conclusions:(1)To find out the realistic conditions of the Old Revolutionary Base Area,to increase the inclination of policies,to focus on the deep poverty areas,to eliminate the disadvantages of geographical capital,and to create a model for overcoming poverty in the old revolutionary areas and to build a model for overcoming poverty and attacking the major problems.(2)To promote the diversified development of tourism industries in the Old Revolutionary Base Area and to optimize the agricultural industrial structure.To promote the transfer of rural surplus labor to non-agricultural employment,to increase the income of the poor,to raise the economic and geographical capital.(3)To promote the development of medical and health services in the Old Revolutionary Base Area,to raise the level of education,and to strengthen the construction of the rural public service system.(4)Strengthening the ecological protection in the Old Revolutionary Base Area,improving the rural environment,developing and supervising the rural ecological resources,and enhancing the environmental geographical capital.
