The report to the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2022 stressed the need to develop new types of agricultural operators and socialized services,and develop appropriate scale agricultural operations.China unveiled its "No.1 central document" for 2023 stressed the need to implement social agricultural services to promote action,and vigorously develop social services such as farming and seed replacement,collection and management,and whole-process trusteeship.The practice proved that the rapid development of the social service system of agriculture is the important way to solve the difficult problem of "who farms the land and how to farm the land",which is the inevitable choice of solid food security foundation.Grain total factor productivity,as an important index of grain production development,plays a guiding role in national or regional grain economic development.Henan,as the main grain producing province,undertakes the heavy responsibility of ensuring national food security.In recent years,the grain production in Henan Province has made some achievements,but there are still some problems,such as large population base,small per capita arable land and unbalanced economic and social development.Therefore,the improvement of agricultural socialization service can effectively promote the development of agriculture in Henan Province,ensure food security and realize agricultural modernization.Based on this,this paper summarized relevant literature at home and abroad,guided by the division of labor theory,economies of scale theory,transaction cost theory and other important theories,firstly,revealed the influence mechanism of agricultural socialized service on grain total factor productivity from six dimensions of public service,production service,science and technology service,information service,circulation service and financial service according to the function of agricultural socialized service.By constructing evaluation index system and using entropy weight method and DEA-Malmquist index method to measure agricultural socialized service level and grain total factor productivity in Henan Province,panel data of 18 prefecture-level cities in Henan Province were formed to analyze and study the development status of both.An econometric model was built,and the panel data of prefecture-level cities from 2001 to 2020 were used to select control variables such as urbanization level,institutional environment and foreign direct investment to empirically analyze the effects of agricultural socialized service level on grain total factor productivity and the differences of impacts of different types of agricultural socialized service.The regression results showed that,the socialized service level of agriculture has a significant positive effect on the total factor productivity of grain.Six different types of agricultural socialized services,including public service,production service and information service,can promote the improvement of grain total factor productivity.Among them,the influence effect of science and technology service is the largest and higher than that of the whole agricultural socialized service,followed by information service,circulation service and public service,and production service and financial service are the least.Therefore,in order to better realize the improvement of agricultural socialized service level and grain total factor productivity in Henan province,suggestions were put forward to innovate agricultural socialized service mode,strengthen the construction of public infrastructure,strengthen the standardized management of production services,promote land scale management,and strengthen the construction of rural financial service system.
