Research On The Impact Of Business Model Design And Financial Strategy On The Growth Performance Of Smes

At present,SMEs have become a source of vitality for the development of the market economy.SMEs in China have a large volume,but their development is uneven.In this context,it is of great significance to explore the impact of business model design and financial strategy on the growth performance of SMEs.Existing studies on business models and financial strategies have mostly focused on individual enterprises or industries,and relatively few studies on the combination of business models and financial strategies of SMEs have been conducted in recent years.This paper has explored the inherent logical relationship between SMEs’ business model design and financial strategies and corporate growth,and has created an innovative research and analysis framework in which corporate business model design drives financial strategies and the combination of business models and financial strategies affects corporate growth performance.This paper selected panel data of the SMEs listed on GEM to build a regression model to empirically test the impact of business model design and financial strategy on firm growth performance,arguing that business model design drives the choice of financial strategy,while the combined effect of financial strategy and business model design on firm growth performance is also analysed.The empirical results show that the increased level of business model design positively affects firm growth performance,and the novel business model design and efficiency business model design both play a role in promoting firm growth performance,business model design drives firms to make different financial strategy choices,SMEs’ investment strategy and firm growth performance are positively correlated,while financing strategy on firm growth performance is negatively related.Different combinations of business model design and financial strategies have different combined effects on firm growth performance.Further,this paper has selected Tianneng Heavy Industry and Kaifa Telecom as the case study objects,on the basis of the conventional performance evaluation indicators,selected some indicators with industry characteristics to compare and analyse their business model design,financial strategies and corporate growth,combining the characteristics of the electrical machinery industry.Based on the results of the empirical and case studies,the paper proposes to pay attention to the role of enterprise business model design and financial strategy selection for SMEs,giving priority to strengthening novel business model design,adjusting the structure of financial strategy in a timely manner to match enterprise development and playing a synergistic role and paying attention to system positioning.
