Urban development depends on the strong support of various resources, but the uneven distribution of resources among cities has become a basic reality.Resource agglomeration has a strategic impact on urban development, which has long attracted the attention of scholars. However, judging from the current research results on urban resource agglomeration,it is still unable to support the growing real demand. In this context,it is necessary and practical to research the spatial and temporal differentiation characteristics of urban resource agglomeration capacity and its influencing factors.Based on this, this paper takes 251 cities in China as the research object, starts from the connotation and measurement of urban resource agglomeration capacity, analyzes the temporal and spatial differentiation characteristics of urban resource agglomeration capacity from 2007 to 2019,and from the theoretical level,it explores the analysis framework of the impact of opening level, wage level, market size and location factors on urban resource agglomeration capacity.,using the spatial Durbin model for empirical testing. The results show that:(1)The overall resource agglomeration capacity of 251 cities has improved from 2007 to 2019,but the resource agglomeration capacity of cities in the Northeast is on a downward trend.Cities with strong resource agglomeration capacity are mainly distributed in the eastern region, while the central and western regions have weaker resource agglomeration capacity. Moreover, the spatial pattern of urban resource agglomeration capacity has basically formed a polycentric spatial pattern dominated by the core cities of the urban agglomeration.(2)The spatial and temporal differentiation characteristics of urban resource agglomeration capacity in my country are more obvious.Through the analysis of hot and cold spots,it is found that compared with 2007,2011 and 2015,the overall number of hot spots and sub-hot spots did not change much in 2019,but the regional spatial locations changed greatly. The overall number of cold and sub-cold spots The overall change is not large, but there are certain changes in the distribution of regional spatial locations;through the overall trend analysis,it is found that the spatial distribution trend of urban resource agglomeration capacity has changed from 2007 to2019.After 12 years of changes,The overall trend shows a pattern of high in the east and low in the west;by using the semi-variogram model to analyze the spatial variation of urban resource agglomeration capacity from 2007 to 2019 under anisotropy and isotropy, there is significant spatial heterogeneity in urban resource agglomeration capacity. In 2007,2011,2015 and 2019,the urban resource agglomeration capacity showed anisotropy, indicating that the spatial distribution of urban resource agglomeration capacity was significantly different in the four years. The variation law of the above shows a strong similarity.(3)Trade opening, attracting foreign investment, wage level, market size and location factors have a positive impact on urban resource agglomeration capacity, and there is a spatial spillover effect on attracting foreign investment, wage level, resource market size and location factors. In the direct effect analysis, the level of trade opening, the level of attracting foreign investment, the wage level, the market size and the location factors have a significant positive effect on the urban resource agglomeration capacity of the city where they are located;in the indirect effect analysis, the indirect effect coefficients of wage level and location factors are positive, indicating that a city’s wage level and location factors have a positive spatial spillover effect on the urban resource agglomeration capacity of surrounding cities, the indirect effect coefficient of attracting foreign capital and market size is negative, indicating that a city’s level of attracting foreign investment and market size have a negative spatial spillover effect on the urban resource agglomeration capacity of surrounding cities..Based on the above conclusions,we puts forward six policy suggestions.First,Build a coordinated development model of urban agglomeration and improve the driving capacity of core cities.Second, increase trade openness and improve the level of urban trade opening.Third, create a good business environment to effectively attract foreign capital inflows.Fourth, design a feasible plan to improve wages based on the current actual wage level in the city.Fifth, maintain Steady economic growth, enhance the vitality of the city’s economy. Finally, further leverage the location advantages of coastal cities to promote the coordinated development of surrounding cities.
