| In an era where the digital economy in China has been witnessing a rapid surge,predominantly driven by advancements in technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data,digital transformation emerges as an indispensable course of action for enterprises striving to ensure their survival and expansion,thereby leading to a mounting number of companies embracing this wave of digital transition.Particularly in the context of traditional sectors such as the textile and garment industry,which,in recent times,has been grappling with exigent predicaments including dwindling orders and escalating inventory,harnessing digital technologies to instigate digital transformations within these enterprises can significantly augment production efficiency,curtail inventory,and orchestrate swift responses to consumer demands.Nevertheless,the current scenario exposes the frailty of digital transformation capabilities among Chinese textile and garment enterprises and recurrent complications encompassing substantial capital investments,protracted construction periods,and trials encountered during digital data collection and processing.To address these issues,this research,grounded in the practicalities of development,embarks upon an exploration centered around assessing the digital transformation in textile and garment enterprises,thereby offering a valuable reference point for their digital management and operation undertakings.Adopting a literature review approach to collate and scrutinize relevant digital transformation studies and evaluations,this investigation delves into the influencing factors of enterprise digital transformation and delineates the pathway of digital transformation for firms operating in the realm of textiles and garments.With a focal point on the aforementioned sector’s characteristics,this study constructs an evaluation index system for digital transformations from four pivotal aspects: strategic management,technological application,operational management,and organizational culture.Concurrently,it employs the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to calculate the weightings within the evaluation index system for digital transformations in textile and garment enterprises,and formulates a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methods.This methodological framework devised offers a comprehensive understanding of the current status of digital transformations in textile and garment enterprises,providing an efficacious means of evaluating digital transformation implementations.By leveraging a case study involving Company A,a member of the textile and garment industry,this research collects pertinent data via questionnaires to facilitate a thorough evaluation of the company’s digital transformation endeavor.Findings from the comprehensive assessment reveal that Company A resides at a moderate level in terms of digital transformation effectiveness;consequently,based on the discerned issues and weaknesses within Company A’s digital transformation process,enhancement strategies have been proposed spanning four domains: strategic management,technological application,operational management,and organizational culture.These encompass deepening strategies,intensifying leadership,unifying infrastructure,mitigating risks,parameter modeling,promoting intelligent manufacturing,reinforcing collaboration,and attracting talent,coupled with suggestions concerning robust financial and human resource strategies to bolster Company A’s long-term digital transformation trajectory,thus serving as a guiding beacon for domestic textile and garment enterprises aspiring to excel in digital management and operations. |
