Research On Influencing Factors And Regional Differentiation Of Modern Service Industry Development In The Yangtze River Delta

On the fifth day of November 2008,General Secretary Xi announced at the first China International Expo that he would support the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region,attach importance to it and make it a national strategy.In fact,this measure has clarified the important role of the Yangtze River Delta in promoting the steady growth of China’s national economy,enhancing the overall national strength,promoting the adjustment of industrial structure and building a modern economic system.To promote the development of modern service industry in Yangtze River Delta region,we can start from two different angles.The factors influencing the development of modern service industry and the degree of regional differentiation are respectively.Therefore,according to these two different perspectives,the first step is to measure the influencing factors of the modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta,and the second step is to measure the differentiation degree of the comprehensive development level of the modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta.Based on this,the gap between different regions of the modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta and the possible problems in the development process are investigated.Firstly,this paper analyzes the literature from four angles of modern service industry.They are connotation,influencing factors,regional differentiation and integration measurement.Then it briefly summarizes the development process of China’s modern service industry.Then,referring to the connotation and characteristics of modern service industry,select explanatory variables and empirically analyze the influencing factors of the development level of modern service industry in Yangtze River Delta.Then,according to the principle of index construction,an index evaluation system consisting of four dimensions of development scale,professional level,development environment and growth ability was constructed.The absolute average deviation and entropy weight method are used to calculate the comprehensive level differentiation index of the development of modern service industry.Measure and analyze the degree of differentiation of comprehensive development level of modern service industry in Yangtze River Delta and all regions from 2010 to 2019,and then combine the weight of first-level indicators and measure and analyze from four angles to find out the reasons influencing the difference of comprehensive development level of modern service industry.The empirical results show that:(1)the development level of modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta presents a significant unbalanced characteristic;(2)The influencing factors of the development level of modern service industry are different in different regions;(3)The regional difference index of the comprehensive development level of modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta is increasing in value and the degree of differentiation is expanding;(4)In addition to the level of specialization,the development scale,development environment and growth ability all show an expanding trend of comprehensive level gap;(5)The differentiation degree of modern service industry is high in regions with high development level of modern service industry.Finally,based on the above research conclusions,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward,which are mainly divided into two parts,namely the whole Yangtze River Delta and three provinces and one city,in order to provide a new perspective and theoretical suggestions for local governments to improve the integrated development level of modern service industry in the Yangtze River Delta.(1)Yangtze River Delta as a whole: based on the overall situation,narrow the gap and realize integrated development;(2)Shanghai: Play a leading role in the development of modern service industry;(3)Anhui: make up for shortcomings and actively integrate into the integrated development of modern service industry in Yangtze River Delta;(4)Jiangsu: improve the growth capacity and narrow the regional development gap;(5)Zhejiang: Create excellent development environment and improve regional accessibility.
