As an important industrial sector supporting urban and rural construction in China,how to improve the production efficiency of brick and tile manufacturing enterprises and how to reduce resource waste and production costs is an urgent problem to be solved at present.Production line optimization,as an important grip for brick and tile enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency,is receiving more and more attention from management scholars.company X,as a building material manufacturer producing various types of sintered bricks,currently has problems such as substandard production capacity and delayed delivery.Therefore,it is imperative to carry out optimization studies for Company X’s brick-making production line.The thesis takes the brick production line of Company X as the research object,based on the purpose of quality assurance and efficiency improvement,and uses scientific methods and tools such as industrial engineering theory,ant colony algorithm and FlexSim simulation technology to systematically study the balance optimization problem of the brick production line of X Company.Firstly,we conducted a literature review based on the theoretical basis of production line optimization and related researches to provide theoretical reference and methodological guidelines for the optimization of brick production line of Company X.Secondly,we conducted field research on brick production line of Company X by using field survey and field interview,and diagnosed the problems in terms of process procedures,facility layout and production line balance,etc.;secondly,we applied the SLP method and the four principles of "ECRS","The mathematical model with the goal of minimizing processing time was constructed for the important process of the production line,the roasting process,and the improved ant-swarm algorithm was also used to solve the model.Finally,FlexSim software was used to simulate the production process before and after the optimization,and the output data were analyzed and compared to summarize the indicators of the production line before and after the optimization and its comprehensive effect.It was found that there were problems of non-essential waiting,unreasonable layout of facilities,low production balance rate and poor working environment in the X brick production line.After optimization,the production line balance rate increased from 66.80% to 80.16%,the blockage in each process was relieved and the waiting condition was improved;the logistics distance was shortened from 230 m to 78 m,and the material handling was more timely and efficient;the average equipment utilization rate increased from The average equipment utilization rate increased from 53.60% to 60.01%;the average monthly production capacity increased from 3436400 pieces per month to 4067800 pieces per month,which can better meet the planned output and corresponding order demand;the operating environment is comfortable and clean,which ensures the physical and mental health of employees and improves the competitiveness of the enterprise.The thesis has 33 figures,24 tables and 80 references.
