A Feasibility Evaluation Study Of Plant Establishment In China By Company F

In recent years,China has increased its efforts to the rights protection and company benefits of foreign investment and encourage foreign investment,which has positively promoted the active participation of foreign in China’s economic and social development.As the main bearers of advanced technology,multinational companies have promoted technological progress in relevant fields in China.In this thesis,the feasibility of plant establishment in China for the production of raw materials for the fermentation industry,by a subsidiary of a multinational company-Company F,is taken as the subject of the study.By using the project feasibility study theory,the general situation of Company F’s plant establishment was introduced,the necessity of investment,technical feasibility,economic feasibility,social feasibility and risk control feasibility were analyzed.Then,based on AHP,the feasibility of Company F’s plant in China was analyzed thoroughly by using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.First of all,it introduced the basic situation of the plant project of Company F,investigated the site selection and analyzed the market demand.Thereafter,and furthermore,by using the tools PEST,SWOT,Etc.,the internal and external environment of Company F was analyzed,and conclusions were drawn on the necessity of investment;the technical feasibility was analyzed by demonstrating the product scheme,production process,construction scheme,construction duration and environmental protection measures;the economic feasibility was analyzed by estimating the amount of investment,operating income and total cost of the project,evaluating the financial viability and profitability and conducting the uncertainty analysis;the social feasibility was analyzed in terms of energy saving and emission reduction,social environment impact and economic development;the feasibility of risk control was analyzed by applying the risk matrix method to evaluate the plant establishment risks of company F and recommend risk control measures.Finally,by adopting the analysis methods of literature frequency and the theoretical analysis,and via consulting experts’ opinions,the feasibility evaluation index structure of Company F’s plant in China was created,and the judgment matrix between each factor was constructed through the expert questionnaire method,the weights of each level of parameters were analyzed based on the tool of analytic hierarch process,and the consistency of the evaluation indicators was tested,after which,each evaluation indicator was divided into fuzzy levels and a team of experts was invited to score.In addition,based on the actual situation of the plant establishment,implementing suggestions were made.This thesis has obtained the below conclusions:(1)It is necessary to establish a plant in China as it can solve the problems in the business development of Company F.(2)The plant establishment is feasible in technical,economic,social and risk control perspectives.(3)The overall evaluation of the feasibility of plant establishment in China is good.The main significance of this thesis includes:(1)to provide an important decision basis for the company whether investment on plant construction should be made;(2)to provide some reference and methods for other companies,especially small and specialized foreign enterprises,to evaluate the investment feasibility of plant establishment in China.This thesis has 8 figures,25 tables and 62 references.
