In the context of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" and the emphasis on entrepreneurship for the people,in response to the call of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation",a number of entrepreneurial upsurge has sprung up all over the country,and innovation and entrepreneurial activities have become an important way to improve the quality of modern economy.How to improve entrepreneurial performance and promote entrepreneurial success in the context of "dual innovation" has received widespread attention from all sectors of society.As an organic resource complex,the growth and development of an enterprise cannot be achieved without the resource support of various stakeholders.In reality,most entrepreneurs are often faced with a lack of resources and difficulties at the beginning of their business.Therefore,it is necessary for entrepreneurs to obtain the favor of stakeholders in order to obtain their recognition of the entrepreneurial enterprise and to attract them to participate in the entrepreneurial process and invest in the resources needed for entrepreneurial activities.Narrative is an effective way for entrepreneurs to persuade stakeholders and build the identity of the company to the stakeholder groups.The entrepreneur needs to integrate the company’s resources and information into a story in order to attract an audience and obtain external resources.Based on this,this study proposes entrepreneurial narratives to enhance stakeholders’ perceptions of organizational identity through entrepreneurial narratives and the use of rhetorical strategies to positively influence the acquisition of corporate resources for entrepreneurial performance growth.This thesis draws on the scientific and standardized scale development procedures,rooted in entrepreneurship cases through qualitative textual research,combined with literature review and information search to obtain the initial question items of the scale,and based on the results of the pre-test data of the small-scale sample,the initial scale is deleted,modified and embellished to obtain the formal scale,followed by the results of data analysis of the formal test of the formal scale to obtain the formal measurement instrument of rhetorical strategies.The formal scale was divided into a total of two dimensions: industry commonality describing rhetorical strategies and unique strengths elaborating rhetorical strategies.As a result,the mechanism of the effect of entrepreneurial narratives on entrepreneurial performance was explored on the basis of cultural entrepreneurship theory and resource-based theory.The specific research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 369 employees,and after collecting the questionnaire data by using Amos and SPSS software for empirical analysis of the data.The results of the analysis show that: first,entrepreneurial narratives positively affect entrepreneurial performance;second,organizational duality and resource acquisition both play a mediating role between entrepreneurial narratives and entrepreneurial performance;third,organizational duality and resource acquisition can mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial narratives and entrepreneurial performance in turn;fourth,industry commonality describes the impact of rhetorical strategies to moderate entrepreneurial narratives on organizational legitimacy;unique strengths elaborate rhetorical strategies moderate the impact of entrepreneurial narratives on organizational competitiveness.In summary,the main innovations and contributions of this thesis are as follows:firstly,it develops a rhetorical strategy scale for entrepreneurship in the context of "double-creation" in China by drawing on a scientific and rational scale development paradigm and rooting in entrepreneurship case texts;secondly,it enriches and expands the theoretical perspective of academic research on the mechanism of entrepreneurial performance;finally,it opens the black box of the role of entrepreneurial narratives in entrepreneurial performance and clarifies its mechanism of action.Finally,we open the black box of entrepreneurial narratives on entrepreneurial performance and clarify its mechanism of action.At the same time,we try to help entrepreneurial companies to get out of the "resource dilemma" and achieve "0 to 1" performance growth by providing the following management practice insights and suggestions: First,companies should pay attention to the development of entrepreneurial narrative capabilities,and build stakeholder groups’ perceptions of the company’s characteristics;Secondly,companies should build more three-dimensional and detailed entrepreneurial stories and rhetorical strategies,and learn how to "tell the same story to different people to achieve different effects".
