Study On The Willingness And Influencing Factors Of Rural Empty Nest Elderly To Provide For The Elderly In Tongren City

At the end of 2021,China entered a deeply aging society for the first time,resulting in an increasingly serious aging problem.With the advancement of urbanization,a large number of rural young and middleaged labor forces have migrated,the number of rural empty nest elderly has surged,and there is a general lack of pension resources in rural areas.Compared to urban empty nest elderly,the pension problem for rural empty nest elderly is more serious.This article takes the rural empty nest elderly in Tongren City as the research object to deeply analyze the current situation and willingness of the empty nest elderly to provide for the elderly.On the basis of literature research,a questionnaire was designed based on the actual situation of the pre survey.The dependent variable pension willingness was divided into two dimensions: pension residential willingness and future institutional pension willingness.Based on field survey data,interactive analysis,binary logistic regression analysis,and chi-square test were used to study the influencing factors of pension willingness.The conclusions were as follows:(1)Regarding the willingness to live for the elderly,with the increase of age,rural empty nest elderly are more inclined to live with their children;The lower the monthly household income,the more inclined the elderly are to live on their own;Elderly people whose children mainly reside in other places and have good relationships with their children are more likely to live with their children;Elderly people with a stronger sense of loneliness tend to live with their children;Elderly people who have close neighborhood relationships and do not agree with the concept of "raising children to prevent aging" are more likely to live on their own.(2)In terms of willingness to provide for the elderly in future institutions,the elderly with higher education level are more willing to enter elderly care institutions in the future;There is a positive correlation between family monthly income level,subjective perception of household income and expenditure surplus,and elderly people’s willingness to provide for the elderly in institutions in the future;Elderly people with poor self care ability and poor neighborhood relationships are more willing to enter elderly care institutions in the future;Elderly people who know something about elderly care institutions are more willing to enter them than elderly people who do not.Based on empirical conclusions and interview analysis results,in order to effectively solve the elderly care problems faced by empty nest elderly in rural areas of Tongren City,suggestions and countermeasures are proposed in five aspects,including consolidating the basic status of family elderly care,giving play to the complementary role of social elderly care,carrying forward the fine tradition of "watching and helping each other",improving the income level of the elderly through multiple channels,and paying attention to the psychological health of the elderly.
