| The main content of China’s new development pattern is that the domestic cycle plays a major role and the domestic and international cycles reinforce each other. The construction of domestic major circular body urgently needs the pull of domestic demand,so stimulating consumption becomes the main way of China’s economic growth. At present, there is a big gap between the consumption level of rural residents in China and that of urban residents, but rural residents have huge consumption potential, and further releasing rural residents’ consumption is of great significance to China’s economic growth. At the same time, the reform of the property right system of "three rights separation" of agricultural land has thoroughly activated the transfer of agricultural land management right, and the transfer behavior of agricultural land directly affects the livelihood mode of farmers, and then indirectly affects the consumption of farmers. In this paper, the micro-data of 3981 households from China Household Tracking Survey(CFPS)in 2018 were used to explore the impact of farmland transfer on household consumption by OLS regression and propensity score matching model(PSM),and the intermediary effect model was used to further explore its internal transmission mechanism. The findings are as follows:(1)Both transfer to and transfer from agricultural land can improve the per capita consumption, subsistence consumption, development consumption and enjoyment consumption of farmers;(2)The transfer to agricultural land affects the per capita consumption of farmers by affecting operational income, and operational income has an intermediary effect;(3)The transfer of agricultural land affects the per capita consumption of farmers by influencing property income, and property income has an intermediary effect;(4)The transfer of agricultural land affects the per capita consumption of farmers by influencing wage income, and wage income has an intermediary effect.Based on the above research conclusions, this paper proposes that:(1)Establish an interest coordination mechanism for farmland transfer, constantly reduce the transaction cost of farmland transfer and guide farmers to orderly land transfer,so as to realize the optimal allocation of farmland resources;(2)Continue to improve the stability of the transfer of agricultural land, promote the transfer of agricultural land to farmers for appropriate scale management, constantly encourage them to increase the expected return on investment in agricultural land, and ensure the sustained and stable growth of agricultural production;(3)To improve the non-agricultural employment mechanism of rural surplus labor force, rationally arrange the transfer of employment of farmers from rural land, and strengthen their skills training to ensure the stability of non-agricultural employment and obtain higher income;(4)Promote the construction of a multi-level social security system in rural areas, stabilize the rural land transfer relationship, and make rural residents yearn for a better life. |
