Research On The Impact Of Agricultural Agglomeration On High Quality Agricultural Development In Henan Province

Agriculture plays an important role in China’s social progress and economic development.Since the reform and opening up,our government has successively formulated a series of policies related to benefiting and supporting agriculture,and agricultural development has achieved tremendous achievements.Henan Province is a major agricultural province in China.As a core national grain production area,grain production is closely linked to national food security.Henan Province plays an important role in the field of agricultural development in China,but at the same time,there are many problems such as low utilization of agricultural resources,overall extensive production methods,low quality level of agricultural products,and damage to the agricultural ecological environment.Currently,under the guidance of the government and the market,the level of agricultural agglomeration in the region has gradually improved,agricultural economic benefits have been significantly improved,and the agricultural industrial structure and spatial layout have also been effectively improved.Relevant learning and competition among various entities in the agglomeration area not only helps to disseminate information such as technical knowledge,but also can extend the agricultural industrial chain,improve the added value of agricultural products,and other advantages.In this way,the advantages brought by agricultural agglomeration are very consistent with the high-quality development of agriculture.So,will agricultural agglomeration further promote the high-quality development of agriculture? Is there any connection between the two? However,at present,there are few studies on industrial agglomeration and high-quality development in the agricultural field,mainly focusing on the secondary and tertiary industries.However,there are few studies that combine agricultural agglomeration and high-quality development in agriculture and explore the relationship between the two.So,what specific impact will agricultural agglomeration changes have on high-quality agricultural development? What are the main factors that have an impact on the high-quality development of agriculture? The solution of these problems is conducive to the adjustment of agricultural structure in Henan Province,and provides ideas for promoting the development of agriculture towards a high-quality level.This article focuses on the impact mechanism of agricultural agglomeration on high-quality agricultural development,the measurement of agricultural agglomeration level and high-quality agricultural development level,and the quantification of the impact of agricultural agglomeration on high-quality agricultural development.Firstly,read and organize relevant literature to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current research status in the field;Secondly,by defining the connotation of agricultural agglomeration and high-quality agricultural development,the theoretical framework of the impact mechanism of agricultural agglomeration on high-quality agricultural development is constructed based on the theories of industrial agglomeration externality,division of labor and specialization,new economic geography,traditional agricultural transformation,agricultural development and sustainable development;Then,using relevant data on the output value of various cities in Henan Province,the level of agricultural agglomeration in Henan Province is calculated using the methods of location entropy and Gini coefficient.The entropy weight TOPSIS method is used to measure the level of high-quality agricultural development in Henan Province,and Arc GIS technology is used to visualize the spatiotemporal changes in the level of agricultural agglomeration and high-quality agricultural development;Then,based on the panel data of cities in Henan Province from 2011 to 2020,the Tobit regression model is used to analyze the impact of agricultural agglomeration on high-quality agricultural development in Henan Province;Finally,based on the above research results,relevant planning suggestions are proposed.The specific research content and conclusions are as follows:1.Through theoretical analysis,it can be concluded that agricultural gatherings have an impact on the high-quality development of agriculture through economies of scale,technological progress,social network effects,and knowledge spillover effects.Agricultural agglomeration represents the gradual concentration of agricultural related industries in a certain area,which will generate economies of scale;Agricultural agglomeration will also accelerate the agglomeration of capital elements to a certain region,thereby strengthening industrial competitiveness,promoting technological progress and knowledge diffusion.The application and promotion of new technologies can not only effectively improve agricultural production efficiency,but also change traditional agricultural planting patterns.People are gradually pursuing high efficiency and high-quality agriculture,thus effectively promoting the high-quality development of agriculture.However,when agricultural agglomeration reaches a certain level,it is highly likely to cause damage and pollution to the agricultural ecological environment,and excessive consumption of natural resources in the region.The increase in the use of fertilizers and pesticides will also exacerbate the deterioration of the agricultural ecological environment,which will have a negative impact on the high-quality development of agriculture.2.In terms of agricultural agglomeration,the overall level of agricultural agglomeration in Henan Province shows a fluctuating upward trend,and is mainly divided into two stages: the first stage is the slow growth stage from 2011 to 2016,and the second stage is the rapid growth stage from 2016 to 2020.Over the past decade,the level of agricultural agglomeration in various cities has increased and decreased.From the perspective of the evolution of agricultural agglomeration space,the number of cities located in high-level agglomeration areas increased from 5 in 2011 to 7 in 2020,while the number of cities located in low-level agglomeration areas decreased from 6 in 2011 to 4 in 2020.It can be seen that the overall development trend of agricultural agglomeration level in Henan Province is good.3.In terms of high-quality agricultural development,through spatiotemporal evolution analysis,it can be seen that the overall level of high-quality agricultural development in Henan Province is showing an upward trend,and the development level of each subsystem also shows an upward trend at different rates,levels,and modes.Among the development levels of high-quality agricultural subsystems in Henan Province,the green level of agriculture has always ranked first;The social benefits and production efficiency of agriculture have gradually risen from the bottom position to the second and third positions;The fluctuation of agricultural industrial structure and agricultural infrastructure development level is not significant,and they are ultimately ranked fourth and fifth.Among various cities in Henan Province,the top three in terms of high-quality agricultural development level are Xinxiang City,Zhengzhou City,and Jiaozuo City,with Pingdingshan City ranking last.From 2011 to 2020,the level of high-quality agricultural development in all cities and regions in Henan Province has increased to varying degrees,and by 2020,all cities and regions will be in the second and Third Estate.To a certain extent,it can be said that the level of high-quality agricultural development in Henan Province has achieved a leap forward improvement.4.By constructing a theoretical framework for the impact of agricultural agglomeration on high-quality agricultural development,an empirical analysis is conducted using the Tobit regression model.According to the regression results,agricultural agglomeration plays a significant role in improving the high-quality development of agriculture.When the level of agricultural agglomeration continues to improve,agricultural development will gradually embark on the road of scale and intensification,which can not only form economies of scale,reduce agricultural production costs,but also promote technical communication,improve agricultural production efficiency,and thus improve the quality and output of agricultural products.Among the control variables,financial development level,foreign investment level,and water resource situation have a significant positive effect on high-quality agricultural development,but education investment level does not show significant characteristics on high-quality agricultural development.Finally,the regression results of Tobit model are tested for robustness,and the test results are basically consistent with the results of Tobit regression model.Therefore,the research results of this paper are robustness.5.Based on the above research,the following planning suggestions are proposed for promoting the high-quality development of agriculture in Henan Province: firstly,promote the development of agricultural agglomeration and actively build high standard farmland.Secondly,improve agricultural economic efficiency and strive to create branded agricultural products.Thirdly,optimize the agricultural industrial structure and promote the integration and development of multiple industries.Fourthly,strengthen technological support and continuously improve technological innovation capabilities.Fifth,strengthen the construction of agricultural talent teams and improve talent incentive mechanisms.Sixth,make reasonable use of natural resources and adhere to the green development of agriculture.
