A Study On The Export Competitiveness Of Agricultural Products In Henan Province Based On Factor Analysis

The export of agricultural products is related to the increase of farmers’ income,the development of agriculture,and the harmony and stability of society.In the process of world economic integration,many countries around the world are participating in agricultural products at a deeper level,and international trade in agricultural products is also constantly expanding.Since joining the World Trade Organization,China’s agricultural product export trade has continued to grow rapidly,and its position and influence in world agricultural product trade have continuously improved.However,the development of agricultural product export trade in various provinces and regions in China has shown obvious imbalance.Although Henan Province is a traditional agricultural province,its export strength is not outstanding enough.Therefore,based on domestic and international research,the article adopts literature research,index analysis,qualitative and quantitative analysis,and normative research methods to analyze the export competitiveness of agricultural products in Henan Province.This article first analyzes the current situation of agricultural product exports in Henan Province.It is found that although Henan Province has good agricultural production conditions,the total agricultural output value is also considerable,and the overall export volume is increasing,the export scale is not large,and the contribution to foreign trade is also insufficient.Its secondary use of international market share,competitive advantage index,and display comparative advantage index to evaluate the competitiveness of agricultural product exports in Henan Province,The conclusion is drawn that the international market share of agricultural products in Henan Province is low,and the export competitiveness is relatively weak,but it has been improving year by year,with a strong export growth momentum.Then,using Porter’s diamond model,13 indicators that may have an impact on the export competitiveness of agricultural products in Henan Province were identified.Factor analysis and regression analysis were used to analyze the indicators and draw conclusions.It is found that agricultural land area,rural residents’ education level,the proportion of fixed assets investment in the Primary sector of the economy,per capita gross national product,added value of the Primary sector of the economy,total power of agricultural machinery,freight volume,actual use of foreign capital in the Primary sector of the economy,agricultural,forestry and water affairs expenditure are positively related to the export competitiveness of agricultural products in Henan Province.The number of employees in the Primary sector of the economy,urban residents’ Engel coefficient,rural residents’ Engel coefficient The application amount of fertilizers and pesticides is negatively correlated with the export competitiveness of agricultural products in Henan Province.Then,from the perspective of production factors,demand conditions,related and supporting industries,enterprise strategy,structure and horizontal competition,and the government,it analyzes the impact of various variables on the export competitiveness of agricultural products.At the end of the article,targeted policy recommendations are proposed:improving the quality of agricultural workers,cultivating leading enterprises to implement brand strategies,increasing investment in agricultural technology research and development,meeting and enhancing consumer demand,and strengthening infrastructure investment.
