Intelligent manufacturing is an inevitable trend in the development of manufacturing industry,and it is also an important direction of technological innovation.China’s manufacturing industry has a huge capacity.With the accelerated development of globalization and digitization of the manufacturing industry,the application and demand for intelligent manufacturing are increasing.Especially under the promotion of national strategies such as the Belt and Road and high-quality development strategy of manufacturing industry,intelligent manufacturing will usher in a broader market space and development opportunities.However,in recent years,due to the impact of trade friction,the COVID-19,counter globalization and other factors,the uncertainty of the intelligent manufacturing market has been exacerbated.Intelligent manufacturing enterprises urgently need to make breakthroughs in key areas through technological innovation to form their own competitive advantages.The technological innovation efficiency of intelligent manufacturing enterprises is the key factor to measure their innovation achievements.Therefore,this article measures the technological innovation efficiency of intelligent manufacturing enterprises in China,further explores the factors affecting their technological innovation efficiency,and provides corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Based on the above background,this article introduces the development status of intelligent manufacturing enterprises at home and abroad,as well as the research status of enterprise technological innovation efficiency and factors affecting enterprise technological innovation efficiency.Firstly,based on the panel data of 86 intelligent manufacturing enterprises in China from 2016 to 2020,an indicator system for measuring the technological innovation efficiency of intelligent manufacturing enterprises was constructed.Using the three stage DEA model and the Malmquist index model,static and dynamic measurement studies were conducted on the technological innovation efficiency of intelligent manufacturing enterprises,respectively.Finally,this article selects the static and dynamic measurement results of intelligent manufacturing enterprises as the explanatory variables,and takes the quality of employees,the size of the enterprise,the intensity of enterprise research and development investment,the number of patent authorizations,government subsidies,and equity concentration as the explanatory variables.It uses Tobit regression model to conduct static and dynamic research and analysis on the factors affecting the efficiency of technological innovation in intelligent manufacturing enterprises.The research results show that the technological innovation efficiency values of China’s intelligent manufacturing enterprises measured based on the three stage DEA model have a significant difference before and after adjustment,indicating that the technological innovation efficiency is greatly affected by environmental factors.The adjusted average technological innovation efficiency value shows a trend of increasing and then decreasing,and reached the highest value in 2018.The average pure technological efficiency of enterprises is lower than the average scale efficiency,Based on the Malmquist index model,it is estimated that the adjusted total factor productivity of technological innovation has shown a downward trend overall.Based on the Tobit regression model,it is found that the size of a company,the intensity of its R&D investment,and the amount of government subsidies have a significant positive correlation with the efficiency of technological innovation.The quality of employees,the number of patent applications,and the degree of ownership concentration are not significantly correlated with the efficiency of technological innovation;Enterprise R&D investment intensity,government subsidies,and equity concentration have a significant positive impact on total factor productivity and technological progress.Based on the above results,corresponding suggestions are put forward.
