| With the rapid development of the market economy and the gradual diversification of consumption channels,the competition in the department store retail industry is becoming increasingly fierce in the context of oversupply.In recent years,due to the impact of the COVID-19,people’s income and purchasing power have declined,which has brought greater impact to the retail industry of department stores.The department store retail industry has entered a critical moment of innovation and strategic transformation,and being able to retain and cultivate talents in fierce competition has become the key to occupying a leading position in the market.Effective performance management methods can improve the level of enterprise management,enhance organizational efficiency,reduce costs,cultivate and attract more talents,and occupy an advantage in fierce market competition,which is conducive to the sustainable development of the department store retail industry.This article takes X Department Store as the research object,based on the business practice of the store,and adopts methods such as literature review and questionnaire survey to deeply analyze the performance management status of X Department Store in the context of integrating theory with practice.It is found that there are problems in performance planning,assessment indicator design,performance management implementation,result application,and feedback links.These issues not only affect the effective implementation of performance management in X Department Store,but also hinder the sustainable development of X Department Store.Propose effective countermeasures for the problem has become an urgent issue for X department stores to solve.By analyzing the problems in the performance management process of X Department Store,starting from the actual situation of X Department Store,and using performance management theories and methods,an optimization plan for X Department Store performance management is constructed.Propose countermeasures from five aspects: performance plan,performance indicator grading design,promotion and supervision of performance implementation,comprehensive utilization of performance results,and smooth feedback channels,and propose guarantee measures in four aspects of system,personnel,culture,and strategy to comprehensively improve the performance management level of X Department Store.I hope to take this study as an opportunity to provide reference for decision-making by more similar enterprises in the local area,and also contribute to the development of the economy in Handan City. |
