Planting Mode And Comprehensive Benefit Analysis Of The Chinese Traditional Medicinal Crops In Bashang Area Of Northwest Hebei

The development of the Chinese traditional medicinal crops industry is not only related to health and people’s livelihood,but also related to agricultural,rural and economic and social development.The Chinese traditional medicinal crops planting is the first important link of the industry.Choosing a suitable planting mode for the Chinese traditional medicinal crops is of strategic significance for promoting farmers’income,consolidating the achievements of ecological protection.This study takes Kangbao County,where the Chinese traditional medicinal crops industry has developed rapidly and the planting scale is relatively large in the Bashang region of northwest Hebei Province,as an example.Through research on the Chinese traditional medicinal crops cultivation patterns and industrial development,combined with long-term fixed field observation points and recorded data,indicators were selected to establish a comprehensive benefit evaluation system.Combined with the actual performance of different Chinese traditional medicinal crops cultivation patterns,the current advantageous planting patterns in Kangbao County were selected through analysis.Based on the problems found in the investigation process,countermeasures and suggestions for the development of the Chinese traditional medicinal crops industry in Kangbao County and even northwest Hebei Province are proposed.The main findings of the survey are as follows:1.Kangbao County is a typical alpine region on the Bashang plateau which is suitable for developing the cultivation of the Chinese traditional medicinal crops.In2020,it vigorously developed the large-scale cultivation industry.In 2021,the Chinese traditional medicinal crops industry ranked first in the city with an output value of 1.26billion yuan,and became a new pillar industry of the county’s economy.The existing planting area of traditional Chinese medicine is 20549hm~2.However,the development of the Chinese traditional medicinal crops planting mode the interplanting varieties are chaotic,the planting technology is backward and the driving ability is not strong,which seriously affects the development of the Chinese traditional medicinal crops industry.2.Comprehensive benefit evaluation of the Chinese traditional medicinal crops planting mode in Kangbao County.Select 5 main varieties of the Chinese traditional medicinal crops from Kangbao County to interplant with common crops in Kangbao County,and establish long-term fixed field observation point positioning monitoring.A comprehensive benefit evaluation index system combining economic,ecological,and social benefits has been established,including six categories of indicators:cost,net profit,profit margin,growth period,soil fertility index,and satisfaction.Taking economic benefits as the main evaluation index,combined with ecological and social benefits,a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of 11 traditional medicinal crops planting modes was conducted.From the perspective of economic benefits,the net profit of Fangfeng intercropping rape mode is the highest among the 11 traditional medicinal crops planting modes,and the profit rate of Bupleurum chinense intercropping rape mode is the highest.The dominant planting modes are Bupleurum chinense intercropping rape and Fangfeng intercropping rape.From the perspective of ecological benefits,the single cropping mode of silymarin is conducive to improving soil fertility,while the selection of interplanting mode in Bashang region is more conducive to soil moisture conservation and improving soil water content.From the perspective of social benefits,the satisfaction of interplanting rapeseed with perennial Chinese traditional medicinal crops such as Bupleurum chinense,Fangfeng,and Huangqi is high.From the perspective of the long-term development of the Chinese traditional medicinal crops planting industry,the dominant planting mode in Bashang region,especially in Kangbao County,should be to choose a large rotation mode,using silymarin seeds to be planted in different places for two years,and then using a rotation mode of Bupleurum chinense or Fangfeng interplanting rape to achieve a triple win in economic,ecological,and social benefits.3.Aiming at the current situation and common problems in the planting modes and industrial development of the traditional Chinese medicinal crops in Kangbao County,propose countermeasures and suggestions for the development of the traditional Chinese medicinal crops industry in Kangbao County and even northwest Hebei:(1)Strengthen publicity and technical training,and select advantageous cultivation modes.(2)Develop advantageous and genuine varieties of brands and cultivate leading enterprises.(3)Improve the quality of medicinal crops and build a solid industrial foundation.(4)Optimize the planting layout and steadily expand the scale.(5)Relying on superior varieties to form agglomeration effects.(6)Build a production park,extend the industrial chain and other ways to solve these problems to a certain extent represent the crux of the development of the traditional Chinese medicinal crops planting industry in Bashang region,and promote the development of the traditional Chinese medicinal crops planting industry and the entire industry.
