Digital Basic Geographic Information Database Construction In Changsha

Fundamental geographic information is the foundation for building digital cities is the key to the construction of city information. Sustainable development of the national economy, government scientific decision-making, production and living needs of the community plays an important role. With the rapid development of spatial information technology, geographic information based on the increasing amount of data, data formats from different sources, the demand for basic geographic information is increasingly urgent. Therefore, to use advanced technology to build multi-scale province-wide, multi-type of basic geographic information database, to achieve these multi-source data integration for efficient storage and management, making basic geographic information data to publish and share better meet the needs of society.This article from the construction of basic geographic information database is described and the major components of research, using various advanced techniques and methods to solve basic geographic information database in the construction of the problems encountered.The main research contents include:(1) Proof the need of constructing basic geographic information database. Through needs analysis and Changsha existing data analysis showed that the construction of basic geographic information database already has a mature basic conditions, to promote the city information, to share resources, to build "two types" society has an important significance.(2) Research the process and methods of constructing basic geographic information data. On the basis of mapping further refined baseline, according to the previous study, to update and improve the basic geographic information within the scope of Changsha City, different data types using different processes and methods of access to basic geographic information data.(3) Design sub-library database, database management systems and support environment. According to "Basic specifications for fundamental geographic information database", detailed design the data storage structure of each sub-library databases, the functional database management system, the construction of supporting environment, to achieve the integration of data management and security.
