With the development of the total station instrument, automatics and intelligence has beenrealized absolutely. This project has developed the multi-station automatic deformationmonitoring system by using the ATR (Automatic Target Recognition) function of LeicaTCA2003 total station instrument (popular name survey robot) and its developmentenvironment GEOCOM and Visual Basic language. During the time of developing this systemsoftware, it may be divided into three parts approximately: First is to automatically gain the aimed points'three dimensional coordinates; Second is to process the primitive observation data; Third is to chooseforecast model conforming to the actual situation and carry on the short-term distortion analysis accordingto the processed data. Each part has contained many sub-modules, these sub-modules constituted the overallsystem.The main study works are just as follows: do research to the measurement equipmenttotal station instrument and development environment GEOCOM; study the communicationbetween the computer and total station as well as the local network data communication;analysis the stability of monitoring network reference points and study the search method ofunstable points, do blunder detection to the automatic measurement data, carry on thedifference correction to the target points by using the difference correction model, thusenhances the target points' observation precision, study the interpolation methods toobservation sequence and the distortion curve automatic production and so on; do research todeformation tendency forecast model—regression model and GM(1,1) gray model, and carryon the forecast analysis to the deformation points' short-term distortion situation. On the baseof above research, I compiled a series of procedures to realize the functions.
