Research Of The Urban Human Settlements Of Jilin Province Based On GIS

After entering 21c, with the fast developing of Jilin PROV. region economy, its urban human settlements faces unprecedented developing opportunity, which requires a high level for its urban human settlements. Basing on this background, this paper does an empirical research about evolvement and character of Jilin PROV. urban human settlements.On the basis of colligating both home and abroad urban human settlement theory and assessment method, combining with the actual developing character of Jilin PROV. cities, the paper divides urban human settlements system into four first-order subsystems: humanistic environment, economic environment, services environment and ecological environment, and gives nine second order such as population environment. This paper constructs the Jilin PROV. urban human settlements comparatively effective system of urban human which is composed of four first-order indexes, nine second-order indexes and thirty-five basic indexes basing on urban human settlements systems analysis and utilizing analytic hierarchy process(AHP). Then this paper chooses three episodes of 2000, 2003 and 2006 to evaluate Jilin PROV. urban human settlements.On the basis of the evaluation, this paper analyzes quality and structure characteristic, coefficient of variation, correlation and harmonizing index of Jilin PROV. urban human settlements, and then does the visualization expression about the quality of Jilin PROV. urban human settlements, based on GIS. The analysis indicates that Jilin PROV. urban human settlements has an obvious character of middle stage of industrialization; the whole quality of urban human settlements is constantly improving fastest with the following improving of service environment and the improvement of economical environment is slowest, the urban pollution is even gradually deteriorating. The urban soft circumstance construction with the core which is composed of the government level of control and innovation capability of science and technology is the key factor which propels the improving of Jilin PROV. urban human settlements. At the same time, the urban human settlements also faces the challenge following the integration of industries of region, the difference disparity gap of urban human settlements quality is gradually big in different cities.At last this paper gives several relevant proposals to the construction of further urban human settlements of Jilin province: Strengthen the research of urban human settlements and soft circumstance construction, reinforce governing urban pollution and urban garden, construct eco-cities, and go along the way of sustainable development.
