Living environment is a scientific theory in the 20 th century Mr. Wu Liangyong proposed. Study of the living environment, not only to improve people’s livelihood, but also the government’s plan to provide cities and towns based decision support. Living environment can be studied from five different levels, namely: global, regional, city, community(village). You can also come from the five sub-study were: natural, human, social, residential and support. Taking Jiangxi Province as an object, from the perspective of a series of regional studies on both natural and human systems. In this paper, Jiangxi Province in the contours, settlements, water, roads and Ganzhou DEM data as based data, the open source GIS software and open source cloud platform Hadoop u Dig combining Jiangxi wife living environment evaluation methods and standards for research. The settlements elevation, slope, aspect, residential and residential distance to the water of the river as the distance to the environmental assessment of human settlements of geographical factors. First extraction algorithm to study the various geographical factors, and complete algorithm to extract settlements geographic factor data and numerical statistics. Then factor in the settlement of the geographical distribution of the influence of research, draw weight of each factor on the geographic distribution of settlements influence weight, which results in Jiangxi residential living environment evaluatio n methods and criteria. Finally, according to this standard in DEM extracted data can be selected as a residential location data and stored in vector form. Studies have shown that the distribution of elevation for residential greatest influence, accounting for 31% of the weight; water influence on the distribution of the smallest settlements, accounting for 7% of the weight. But for the study of the five geographical factors, no one geographical factors on the distribution of settlements can play a decisive role in the distribution of settlement is the result of five factors influence each other. In the paper also shows that the study of technology: the use of open source software for the living environment to study feasibility, u Dig Habitat can complete the required environmental studies in spatial analysis; Hadoop platform can be better to store data and complete distributed computing model.
