Pocket PC PDA is favored by the surveyors with its light,cheap,powerful and portable. At present, the research and development of the embedded application software based on PDA is a hot spot in the surveying field. The most of the handheld surveying system that have been successfully developed is based on the Windows CE embedded operating system. Therefore, the development of the tunnel through-survey integration software based on the embedded operating system Windows CE has very important significance.Started the embedded operating system and the special environment of its application, combined to the analysis of Windows CE and the embedded system, the author puts forward the new idea that the development of the embedded application system is based on the Visual Studio.NET2005. The integration of the Total Station and the Gyro North Finder is by PDA as a communication interface. On this basis the author has developed the subsystem of gyro total station communication and data pre-processing. The subsystem can achieve the communication of the several series of Total Stations such as Nikon,Topcon,Leica,Sokkia with the GAT Gyro North Finder. It can also implement the choice of the ellipsoid parameters, the calculation of the meridian convergence and the grid bearing and the control to the total station,data upload,download.Finally, the author has developed the simulation system for through-survey based on Visual C++ 6.0. This system can carry the traverse network adjustment for the field data that were collected by gyro total station, and also can carry the simulation calculation with the simulation azimuth. The results will show with the intuitive graphical interface to the user.The research significance of this thesis is that it applies the data communication technology, the embedded technology and the high-performance intelligent instrument to the underground through-survey, and provides a reference for the development of the embedded system and the application of simulation technology. With the GAT Magnetic Suspension Gyro total Station, the system can provide a new mode of surveying and enhance the efficiency of the underground through-survey.
