As human activities and the development of national construction, people's Requirements of Meteorology is getting more and more higher, the importance of Meteorology is becoming more prominent,the loss of national production and life maked by Meteorological disasters is also very serious.In order to improve the quality of meteorological services,to reduce and prevent loss of meteorological disasters,meteorological services network and public has become an important direction of development,and geographic information systems and meteorological services, the combination is the trend of development, WebGIS research has become an important issue.WebGIS vector model based on ArcMap and VML technology,not only can integrate information management of Bureau of Meteorology to improve the efficiency of office automation,to decrease human factors,to reduce the cost of meteorological information dissemination,but also can facilitate the lives of the general public, to provide reliable decision support services for Party and government departments, meteorological warning information release, thus to prevent meteorological disasters harm and reduce economic losses and personnel casualties.First the issue Analyzes the development and research status of WebGIS at home and abroad, to collect a variety of requirements of Meteorology information services, to research the improvement of the efficiency and the network affordability, design vector model of WebGIS.Followed by the vector generation,and research the conversion from the latitude and longitude coordinates to the screen coordinates.On the basis of the formation of the background layer vector, based on the analysis of the meteorological services, using VML technology can draw meteorological services information, combined with a scripting language for the vector operations of space geographic information and meteorological information visualization, and implements a framework for the model system.Focus of the WebGIS technology and VML graphics technology, the technical difficulties of WebGIS-depth research, and provide appropriate solutions to establish the vector model of WebGIS. Then according to the characteristics of vector, using VML markup language to achieve joint inquiry of spatial geographic information and meteorological information services. In the VML graphics module, the use of VML's unique tag to carry out meteorological automatic site mapping and the query of meteorological ground elements,and finally through the scripting language to implement client and server-side dynamic data exchange.Finally,the practical application of Xiamen Bureau of Meteorology business network validates the model,based on the combination of meteorological information and spatial information, to achieve enhanced metafile vector graphics display of the spatial information, to solve geographic information network transmission efficiency,and plane of the problem of spatial coordinates to rectangular coordinates, at last achieve meteorological information services.According to the model system framework design, practical applications demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the WebGIS vector model.
