Numerical simulation technology, which is efficient and low cost, has been widely used in iron and steel industry recently years. Many researchers of domestic and broad have studied on the simulation of continuous rolling of steel wire. With the developing and progressive of the computer, the simulation of rolling process by the 3-D elastic-plastic finite element method has been developed quickly.Currently finite element method have been regarded as the most efficacious tools to analysis materials molding process and heat exchange and production quality, to predict the parameters of roller force and investigate new production. In this paper, software of MSC.Marc and it's 3-D thermo-mechanical coupled technology and advanced contact analysis technology have been used to simulation the process of the continuous rolling , combine the physics simulation and the results of the experimentation. Under the presently equipment to simulation and analysis the continuous rolling of steel wire with 3-D themol-mechanical coupled technology and elastic-plastic finite element method, the process of wire deformation in the hole of the rolling can be predicted before the production. The stress and strain field, temperature field and correlative parameter of force (roller force and torque) can be calculated accurately. Also the residual stress at the end of workpiece can be worked out. The rationality and security of the roller design and rolling regulation can be predicted.This thesis also resolved the unbalance load in the roller during rolling according to the fact of the factory. The dimension parameter of the roller can't be changed and the unbalance load major in the coarse and middle rolling. In this thesis resolve the unbalance load in the middle rolling through change the press measure under the initial temperature.According to the character in the factory, applying software to simulation the process of rolling and testify the correct of the result through contrast to the actually data. This work is proved to have some academic value and practical merit in some degree.
