This article introduced the automation system of Shengli Chengdao offshore oil field and the appliction of programble logic controller in the system, expounded the content, function, used advanced technology and the acquired effect of the automation system used in offshore oil extraction platform, particularly introduced the reason of choose model, hardware configuration,the function of all parts, program compile etc. In the end, the article analyzed the applied effect and the important function of this technology for ocean environment and safe production.
