Cyclone separators are used in various kinds of industries to separate materials of different densities. By creating a strong swirl, large centrifugal forces in the process mixture are generated and due to differences in density the materials will separate. At present in petroleum industry, single well cannot proceed mechanical dehydration treatments with not power. It always taken heat up and deposit method to dewatering, such means not only bring fire and crude oil waste large, labor intensity high, and it have badly influence on environment. Now that approach had insatiability oil fields produce demand.Hydraulic power method was newly oil-water separation method. It was invented by Britain Southampton University in 1980s. For it structure simplicity, separation efficiency high, and cost low. From it appearance, that has been got widely recognition. In the not far future, rotational flow separate will certainly replace gravitational separation technology, became 21 century international oil field primary equipment.The computational fluid dynamics is a new style subject, which be established on classical flow dynamics and numerical implementation (for short CFD). In this paper, based on the results of the separation experiment, analyzed nine turbulence models discovered LRR Reynolds Stress model is the best for this problem. And then analyzed the impact of operating variable, the overflow pipe diameter, and the consistency of oil in sewage on separating property. Found the best parameter for this problem.Now the work of oil separator's simulation and optimization is just take-off inland, utilizes CFD method. And how apply this mean to deal with different produced fluid and new style optimization of structure is the press question for solute at different oil field. This article firstly introduced the elementary theory of hydrocyclone and CFD, and then introduced how to studied oil and water's separate with systemize. We satisfied with these CFD simulate results. Meanwhile this article raised a new style structure for oil and water separate. I believe that this study has higher theory and practice reference value for these people who are devoted to study oil and water separation. In future, it will certainly be used more comprehensive in our country's petroleum industry department etc.
