There are many processing methods of composite material. Many of these applications are filament winding process or protrusion technology. Filament winding process is a production technique for high-capability composite structures;in which impregnated fiber bundles are guided through a pay-out eye on a rotating mandrel. Protrusion is also a production technique for high-capability composite structures;its production is very cheap, because it is fit for continuous production.But the two processing methods have disadvantage. Mechanics performance of its production is not very good. So, we would like to create a new technology, named as filament-protrusion, not only use filament winding method, but also use protrusion technology. In fact, some productions, such as a certain pipe need the new method.Filament-protrusion technology has a lot of unresolved problems. So, firstly, in theory, we can make it possible to combine the two processing methods. Then, design some important parts of filament-protrusion machines. Last but not least, a computer simulation system for filament-protrusion machine is developed;we can simulation the process of filament-protrusion by it. The system is based on the environment of Visual C++ 6.0, utilizes the C++ program language and the OpenGL to realize mixed programming. During the course, we use Pro/E, 3dmax, VC and OpenGL software.Chapter 1 outlines filament winding process and protrusion technique, expatiates on the source of this thesis and research background and research contents and important significance of developing this system for filament-protrusion technology.Chapter 2 analyzes the possibility of linking protrusion technique with filament winding process. In theory, we researches into filament machine, protrusion machine and filament-protrusion methods.Chapter 3 design some important parts of filament-protrusion machines. And we use Pro/E software draw these parts.Chapter 4 analyzes the function demand of the computer simulation system for filament-protrusion machine, presents the realization project and system framework.Chapter 5 introduces the realization process of the computer simulation systemfor filament winding of filament-protrusion machinesChapter 6 summarizes the content of this paper and gives the future research direction concerns this thesis.
