With the rapid development of CAD/CAM technologies, many changes have been taken place in shoe-last making industry greatly. NC copying machine has become an efficient machining method. NC shoe-last carving machine has gradually been the most popular way to produce shoe-last. It was integrated that CNC, lathe structure technology and motor driver technology in this machine, of them CNC is the most important.Based on the project funded by Zhejiang Province Technology Foundation— "Development of Shoe Last CAD/CAM System and Shoe-last Carving Machine", the application design of shoe last NC system was carried on. Based on idea of modern design of open NC system, used general industry control person computer as hardware , domestic GT-400-SV multi-axis movement control card as control kernel, digital AC servo motor as driving components, the hardware platform of shoe last manufacturing were composed. This dissertation makes a research on the structure of hardware and the software system. The key technologies were introduced and the shoe last NC system was developed.At first, the configuration of control system has been proposed and the design of hardware has been finished. The software design of CNC was developed with the aid of C++Builder. All the modules include machining position display module, file management module, parameters setting module, error diagnosis module, movement control module and so on. In this dissertation the various interference sources were analyzed. The measures resisting interferences by means both of hardware and software were presented. The hardware measures included electrical source, signal-line and grounding-system etc. The software measures included software filter and software fault-tolerance etc.The precision characteristics of the half-loop were analyzed. Through theoretical analysis, a conclusion has been drawn that the smallest contour error will be got if all axes have the same servo characteristics. By this conclusion parameters of the servo system were modulated and optimized. Finally the contour error was diminished and the response performance was improved, and the system runs well.The machining result shows that both the speed and the precision accord with the manufacture demand of shoe-last . The successful development of the system will make great sense in promoting the development of domestic NC shoe last making machine.
