Shoe last, the molding device of shoes, is applied to design and produce all sorts of models and model-fixing tools. The accuracy of its structure and shape directly determines the comfort and pleasant appearance; therefore, it is the crucial device in the process of shoe producing.Currently, the companies producing shoe last mostly introduce the sophisticated technology and devices from countries which are adept at shoe-producing. The cost of these outfits is not only expensive, but also its core technology is controlled by their owners. It places shoe industry in our country in a disadvantageous position in the global competition, thus it is of great significance to the shoe manufacturing industry of our country to develop appropriate, reliable and cheap numerical shoe last machine.Setting on the background of numerical shoe last machine system independently developed by Smart Tech Ltd. in Foshan City, Guangzhou Province, as well as having the modern open numerical control system designing principle in mind, this thesis designs a numerical system with MP2100 produced by Yaskawa as the core component in motion control, and an alternative servo motor as drive component. Firstly, it analyzes the current situation and upcoming trend of shoe last processing, and then draws a design scheme with PC and motion controller as the architecture, subsequently it investigate and devises the hardware section of the numerical shoe last machine system, and then describes in detail the developing of system control software. Basing on MPE720 platform, this software is developed under the principle of module design with special motion language and ladder as developing language, additionally it provides the realization technology of critical module and process. After the design, realization and assembling of shoe last machine system; this thesis illustrates the test of the whole system and method of debugging the servo characteristic in the system in accordance to the result in the former test stage.The final result demonstrates that the speed and accuracy of the numerical control shoe last machine meets the requirement of shoe last producing, it is meaningful to the growing of shoe last industry.
