The dynamic welding parameters in the process of resistance spot welding, such as welding current, electrode voltage and electrode force, etc. are closely related to the welding process and welding quality. Therefore, it has a great significance in On-line supervision of welding process and welding quality to measure these dynamic welding parameters rapidly and accurately.A set of convenient and reliable dynamic parameter measuring system in resistance spot welding was designed in this paper. The hardware of the system mainly consists of a ZHJ-1B current sensor, a self-made resistance strain force sensor , the device for measuring electrode voltage and a NI-DAQ 6062E data acquisition card. The program of data acquisition was compiled in software LabVIEW. The system can be used to measure the dynamic parameters including welding current, electrode voltage and electrode force simultaneously during the welding process.The designed system was applied to carry out the tests on a DN-25Q AC resistance welding machine. The results show that the measuring system works very well, it can obtain the parameters of spot welding process accurately and reliably. This will lay a foundation for on-line supervision of welding quality and simulation of welding process in the future.
