Study On Monitoring Tactic For The Plate Thickness And Crown Of Cold Rolling Strip

With the purpose of improving the strip quality monitoring methods of 1676mm 4-stand tandem cold rolling mills of Benstell cold rolling plant.the monitoring tactic for plate thickness and crown was preliminarily studied here. Appling the techniques of virtual instrument, The method of constructing the monitoring system was proposed. The factors which affect the plate thickness and crown were analysised. Considering them as the monitoring objects, the hardware and software systems were built.In Chapter 4 ,the hardware platform of virtual instrument was studied, and the way in choosing and setting the data collecting card bassed on PC-DAQ system was also discussed.In Chapter 5, based on LabVIEW,a plate thickness and crown, software monitoring system was developed. This system is blocking structure, easy-operating and low price, which can meet the requirement of strip quality monitoring.
