The Metallographic sample cutting machine is mainly used to cut the metallographic sample and lay off or make slot in all kinds of metal materials, which is widely used in metal, ceramics, mineral, rock, compound material, electronic of machinery, metallurgy, automobile and aviation field etc.is one of in metallography sample analysis process important equipment. The design and manufacture of miniature automatic precise Cutting machine is still blank in china. The machine will develop with the development of science and technology and machine. the Automatic Precise Cutting Machine will face more opportunity and challenge, what's more, high quality and automation have become its inexorable developing trend.At present, domestic metallography sample cutting equipment various formats, take the microprocessor as the foundation. Each system type equipment is metallography preparation vanguard technology representative, but the automaticity is low, cannot directly carry on the sample to the big components. In order to satisfy the profession the request, the promotion metallography enterprise development, needs to design the high accuracy, the high performance and the ease of operation metallography cutting control system.Domestic metallography sample cutting equipment has the situations as cutting slanting or location deviation etc. So the cutting precision can't be assurance. In order to effectively improve cutting precision of the cutting machine, we have made an elaborate design for mechanical part and electrical part of the cutting machine. Making the location precision of cutting machine reach 8μm.This article makes use of the combination of software and hardware to achieve the control of the machine. Two parts mainly compose the overall system: the PLC control system and the touch screen display system. The primary control circuit and the demonstration supervisory system use the RS232C serial communication the way to complete cutting to control the entire process.The master control system used OMRON CP1H PLC is the control core, the centralism has completed the spacing I/O signal and on the position machine serial port correspondence signal receive, and carried on centralism operation processing according to the PLC interior design procedure, has realized to two tablecloth transmission machine driver output logic control. In order to improve the cutting precision and actualize mini movement, system uses Rotary Encoder.The display, supervisory system select Eview MT506L touch the programmable control terminal, uses its the man-machine interaction surface edition software, designs the friendly cutting control monitoring surface.Through touches the key to be possible to input all the cutting related datas, for instance: The grinding wheel rotational speed, the cutting depth, the cutting speed, electric current and so on. This system has designed two kinds of freedoms to choose the cutting pattern: The vertical section and enters three draws back one. The system provides on-line help for user. The user can inquire about cutting information by it, has realized the cutting process intellectualization, the user friendly.
