The Metallographic sample cutting machine is mainly used to cut the metallographic sample and lay off or make slot in all kinds of metal materials, which is widely used inmachinery,metallurgy,automobile and aviation etc. is one of in metallography sample analysis process important equipment. At present, domestic metallography sample cutting equipment various formats, take the microprocessor as the foundation each system type equipment is metallography preparation vanguard technology representative, but the automaticity is low, cannot directly carry on the sample to the big components. In order to satisfy the profession the request, the promotion metallography enterprise development, needs to design the high accuracy, the high performance and the ease of operation metallography cutting control system.This article according to the metallography sample the special request, has studied the cutter mechanism movement principle and the metallography sample cutting process, through mechanical and electrical union, software and hardware union and supplementary, ways and so on increase flexibility cutting function, has designed the cutter control system.This system mainly is composed by two parts: Primary control circuit and demonstration supervisory system. The primary control circuit and the demonstration supervisory system uses the RS232C serial communication the way to complete cutting to control the entire process.The master control system used OMRON CP1H PLC is the control core, the centralism has completed the spacing I/O signal and on the position machine serial port correspondence signal receive, and carried on centralism operation processing according to the PLC interior design procedure, has realized to a frequency changer and three tablecloth transmission machine driver output logic control.
