Socks have already become people's daily necessaries as one kind of foot protection and adornment.Socks' wearability, which shows in the process of apparel and usage such as comfort, maintenance, serviceableness and appearance, has been directly related to the extensive consumers' interesting of need and purchase.Clothing-comfort research becomes hot in recent years.Sock is an important branch of clothing, its comfort include hot-,wet-,pressure-comfort and so on.The factor of the sock-pressure is the main index of sock-comfort, and the testing method and means of sock-pressure will directly influence people to research and estimate sock-comfort. Domestic Sock-standard mainly is "SockFZ/T73001-2004",but this standard has not involved to the pressure-comfort and its testing method. Therefore, how to gain sock-pressure index through testing objectively, has very important academic and actual significance to the sock-comfort research and to the development of functional hygiene sock. This paper built and developed a sock-pressure measurement system based on Lab VIEW visual instrument by myself and tried to use this system to test sock-pressure.The purpose was to explore a new method on sock-pressure measurement. This system has two parts:hardware building and software development. For hardware building, the Flexiforce A201 type sensor produced by America Tescan Company was selected to use, which is a thin, flexible and sensitive sensor. It was found feasible in the sock-pressure testing through an experiment which was to research and analyze the static state index of the sensor(linearity degree, sensitiveness,hysterics,etc.).A high-performance constant voltage source circuit was used to excite and amplify the sensor. The high-precision conditioning module was introduced to process the front signal, which makes input and output more accurate and more penetrating found in an experiment that used and not used SCXI.For software development, graphic language Lab VIEW(also called "G" language)was used to develop the application software, through which the instrument can be operate, the software includes the functions of data acquisition, analysis, save and reappearance. This paper also introduced the type, the operating principle and the characteristics of traditional instrument of clothing-pressure measurement.Compared to the traditional instrument, the sock-pressure measurement system based on Lab VIEW visual instrument has the characteristics such as cleaner interface, easier to develop and control, and lower fee of development. Therefore,it has vast application prospect in textile field such as sock-pressure measurement. In the end, this system was used to measure sock-pressure of different positions of the plaster model which sock acted on and found that pressure acted on Sock-top position is higher than any other positions,so especially important should be attached on the pressure of sock-top position when researching sock-pressure-comfort.Combined with theory's formula, these sock-pressures of different positions were analyzed. Also, different sock-pressures were measured, which sock acted on the plaster mode and on the actual foot model under the same position and the same elongation rate, and found that the sock-pressure which acted on plaster mode was higher then that acted on actual foot, and the reasons for that was analyzed. In addition,a physic model of sock-pressure,which sock-top acted on the foot, was built, and a formula which calculated the sock-pressure was written by analyzing that model. The sock-pressures calculated by the formula and those measured by the system were compared, and found that the sock-pressure calculated by the formula is lower than that measured by the system.
