Study On The Open CNC System Based On Networked Manufacturing

With the computer technology being widely used and developed,intelligentize and networking have become major trend of the modern NC machine tools. While, NC system as the important element of manufacture cell is also undergoing profound changes which develop torwards opening ,intelligentize and networking.Then,the networking of CNC system which as the basement of manufacturing appears much more significant in networking manufacture mode. Not only to achieve traditional NC functions, but also they have achieved remote monitoring and long-distance services ,carried out remote processing information collection and fault diagnosis, the manufacturing devices based on it can communicate with the upper layer of the enterprise, which greatly promote IT application of the enterprise to adapt to the market competition. For studying NC system ,this article develops an isomeric web based on the serial port services to meet the different configuration and technical level of the open NC network, provide a practical and low-cost method for the networking manufacture.This article firstly expounds the meanings, characteristics,functions and forms of open NC system; Secondly, it mainly introduces layering and blocking architecture of open NC system. Then it puts forth plans of projects of open NC system based on PC+motion controller through analyzing configurations of modern open NC system, and organizes open NC system with master-slave mode frame of double microprocessors based on IPC and PMAC motion controller. This system realizes communication between the main processing units and backing processing units by PCI buses through IPC and DPRAM.Lastly,it expounds the constitution,structure of system hardware and quality of system control core IPC,PMAC and DPRAM, puts forward a new method of open NC system towards network.In addition, it introduces a economical and practical method that applys modern NC machines and makes it adjust to networking manufacture. The remote control of NC machine mainly solves how to pass NC programs through remote computer in numerically controlled machining. According to capacity of machine tools, assign tasks properly,and save NC programs of machine tools.Through long-distance INTERNET,make NC programs correctly transfer to every machine tool and make sure machine tools to the network. For machine tools whose Internet communication ports are RS-232 serial ports, switch networking control strategy by protocol; In remote control, the main computer have long-distance transfer function, in other word, the NC machine can control remote computer to send numerical control codes.
