The petroleum enterprises of our country are in urgent need to strengthen the management and the ability to compete, because they are facing severe competition and challenges in the market at home and abroad. Beam-Pumping Units is the main equipment and energy consumer in oil-field system. More than 95% of existing oil fields are beam pumping units,the structure of heavy, little power shortcomings etc. But there are shortcomings .such as the structure is quite unwieldy, the power is too big, the energy is also very big. Considering from the energy conservation's angle, want to change its unwieldy structure, meanwhile does not change the existing pumping unit's condition, does not change the condition of workers' operation and maintenance, did the research on the basis of reduction motion mechanisms' weight. The design concept that proposed is: Under the premise of does not change the existing working condition as far as possible, reduces power loss through reduces the motion mechanisms' weight, increases pumping unit's efficiency, decreases cost of oil-producing.This paper raised pumping unit's efficiency through change walking beam's weight. Applied topology optimization thought to walking beam's structural design, studied the walking beam by the method based on the stress strain, the mild-manneredness the evolution structure homogenization, carried on the topology optimization to the walking beam, then obtained the optimize structure. And analyzed the optimization design of each kind of walking beam under the different load condition, obtained the optimize structure of different volume ratio, then found the optimal topology structure.This method is embarks from the topology optimization theory, and so in the unwieldy machinery's structure optimization research has provided a new method for the topology optimization in the pumping unit.
