With the rapid economic development, people pay more attention on the Green Fiber and Ecology Clothing. The natural bamboo fiber is attracted due to its unique performance and now is widely used in the field of textiles and garments. In this paper, the performance of natural bamboo fiber has been studied and compared with ramie fiber, and the relation between performance and blending ratio of bamboo/cotton blend yarns was studied in the paper. Besides, wearability of the bamboo/cotton yarns and fabrics with different blend ratio also is analyzed, and the anti-bacterial property of different blend ratio of the bamboo/cotton fabrics is an important part of the paper; the production development of natural bamboo fiber was introduced.Bamboo fiber's cross-section is irregular round shape, which has various sizes of cavities with the distribution of radial cracks. There are deep or shallow grooves and obvious bamboo nodes on the horizontal surface, but without any natural twist. By testing the degree of polymerization, crystallinity and orientation, we found that bamboo fiber is characterized of high crystallinity, high orientation and high degree of polymerization. Through testing bamboo fiber's mechanical properties, it shows that bamboo fiber is of high discreteness, and the natural bamboo fiber's breaking strength is high but the elongation at break is very low, so bamboo fiber is a high-strength and low-elongation fiber.In the paper, it took 50/50 bamboo/cotton yarn as an example to introduce the natural bamboo fiber spinning process. The blending ratio of bamboo/cotton yarn significantly affects the quality of yarn evenness, with the increase ratio of natural bamboo fiber in the yarns, the yarn breaking strength is gradually increasing, the CV of yarn also increases, meanwhile, the yarn elongation at break is decreasing and its evenness is also worse. Yarn hairiness affects the spinning processing owing to numerous of long hairiness.The breaking strength of bamboo/cotton fabrics is well , and there is little effect of the blending ratio of bamboo/cotton fabrics on the fabric strength, meanwhile, the elongation at break is low and the value reduce with the increase of the natural bamboo fiber blended ratio. Bursting strength of bamboo/cotton fabric is very strong, the fabric with 50/50 blending ratio is the lowest, while 30/70 is the biggest. Wear resistance of bamboo/cotton fabrics are not good, and the weight loss rate is affected greatly by the blending ratio of bamboo fiber. Air permeability is better when the blending ratio of bamboo fiber increase. Bamboo fiber's ratio has less influence on water vapor transmission. Drape property is very poor in all bamboo fabric, and the drape coefficient become higher with the higher bamboo fiber's ratio in bamboo/cotton fabrics.Anti-bacterial property is a distinctive feature of bamboo fiber among all properties. Through the antimicrobial testing of woven fabric samples, the result shows that: bactericidal activity value and antibacterial activity value of bamboo fabrics are 1.2 and 4.3. It also found the anti-bacterial property of fabrics is better with the increase of bamboo fiber's ratio in the bamboo/cotton fabric.In addition, according to the excellent anti-bacterial property of bamboo fiber, we designed "Antibacterial Socks"...
