It is threating seriously to the health and the life's quality of the aged . It is imperative for medical workers to find ways to prevent and cure this disease .Objective : the purpose of the research is to expound mechanism of acupuncture in treating VD . Method : We selected 36 healthy male sheerly Wister big mice for the experiment and averagely divided them into bogus operation group, model group, acupuncture group and Western medicine group at random. We adopted none-wound-artery-clip to block carotis communis of both sides to make big mouse with simulant VD. We acupunctured on Baihui and Dazhui points to therapy the disease . And we observed the activaties of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) , the content of malondialdhyde (MDA) and the activities of AchE . Through the comparison of each index, the result shows: Result : Acupuncture can improve the activation of SOD in simulant cerebral histiocyte of big mouse with VD and accordingly reduce the production of freeradical in cerebral histiocyte. Acupuncture can reduce content of MDA in simulant cerebral histiocyte of big mouse with VD and accordingly lower the content of lipide peroxidase (LPO). Acupuncture can diminish the activities of AchE . Conclusion : through this research, we can draw the conclusion: Acupuncture has positive therapeutic function on VD.
