Objective: To appraise to the occupational hazards of construction projects and then explore existing problems of occupational hazards assessment in construction project practice. Methods: 13 construction projects were assessed according to formulary assessment methods in construction project occupational hazard, explore the existing problems and countermeasure with analyzing project character, data resources, evaluation content, evaluation method, evaluation procedure, etc. Results: 1. Total assessment of 13 projects was consistent with Hygienic Standards for the Design of Industrial Enterprise on the whole, and occupational disease prevention and protection measures met the requirement of occupational health law and legislation. These projects can bring out general or serious occupational hazards, however because of certain prevention practice, these projects can put into practice with analogy survey of work place, qualitation and quantitation methods. 2. It was showed that it were insufficient for project assessment resources, relative law and regulation and guidelines, engineering analysis, and appraising methods application, and not enough clear in emergency relief and assessment conclusion, and no flawless quality control systems. Conclusion: It was suggested that law consciousness and quality control systems were strengthened, suitable evaluation methods and relative law and regulation and guidelines were used, and then analyzing project flow-sheet. It was also essential for modifying and publishing new Occupational Hazards Assessment in Construction Project Assessment Regulation and quantitation ranking standard and new Occupation Hygiene Exposure Limit The scope and extent of occupational disease assessment were expanded further.
