Objective In order to protect workmen's health and rights, further promote economic development. Meantime in order to put out the objective and actual evaluated conclusions which provide scientific technique basis for health administration department check completion of occupational diseases protective measures in the construction project. Through the occupational hazards evaluation including hazard levels, protective measures and occupational health management in construction project of the coke plant, the investigation will present rational and feasible strategies of occupational protection which assure in workplace that the concentrations of occupational hazards do not excess national occupational health standards, and that protective measures of occupational hazards accord with national concerning regulations and demands. Method According to the rules of the construction project of occupational hazards evaluation norm, with field survey and project analysis, the investigation confirmed whether occupational hazards exist in productive process, and further identified occupational hazards kinds, productive sources and monitored concentration, detect the level of the occupational hazards in the workplace, then statistics and analyze the result. According to the national law and standards, the survey evaluated hazard levels of occupational diseases and effects of protective measures, as well as drew the rational and feasible occupational health protective strategies and suggestions. Result (1) In the coke plant, there are 16 kinds of main occupational hazards including dust , noise, high temperature, heat radiation, carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides(NOx), hydrogen sulfide(H2S), ammonia(NH3), benzene, toluene, xylene, phenol, cyanide, coke oven emissions, benzo(α) pyrene. (2) In monitored workplace, there are 8 kinds of occupational hazards beyond national occupational health standards, including CO, SO2, NOx, H2S, benzene, toluene, xylene, phenol. (3) Dust, noise is more dangerous occupational hazards, there are 50.0 percent of samples beyond national standards in dust, and there are 31.6 percent of samples beyond national standards in noise. (4) The concentration of benzo(α) pyrene mostly excess national standards. There are 84.6 percent of samples beyond national standard. Conclusion (1) There are serious occupational hazards in construction project of the coke plant. (2) Through field survey, field monitoring, result analysis and evaluation, some suggestions are presented, as follows: as long as the leader changes concepts, operates effective protective measures of occupational diseases, strengthens occupational health management, actively propagates the protective knowledge of occupational diseases, and improves workmen's self-protective-consciousness.
