All of the people with a possible epilepsy founded during the screening phase were rechecked again by neurologists, then to be confirmed to be definite. Clinical and sociodemographic data were collected, then do descriptive analysis. Analyse the correlation between the possible factors and the activity of convulsive epilepsy with the logistic multiplicity analytical method [Result]1229 cases of convulsive epilepsy were diagnosed in the total sample population, of which active epilepsy was 1031, account for 83.89% of the people with convulsive epilepsy, 225 cases had not been ever treated before, account for 18.31%, and in which are receiving treatment, 647 were treated irregular, account for 52.64%. In China, especially in rural areas, many unscientific methods were used, as the level of diagnosis and treatment for epilepsy is quite low. 70.32% patients with active epilepsy did not receive reasonable antiepileptic treatment medicine in a week before the survey(treatment gap). Analyse the correlation between the six possible factors and the activity of convulsive epilepsy with the logistic multiplicity analytical method, as a result only two factors that the degree of the hospital and the number of AEDs treated had played a role.[Conclusion]The result of this survey revealed that the current situation of treatment for convulsive epilepsy was quite poor, over 70% patients had not been treated regularly, the education for both patients and the primary doctors in rural areas should been carried on, furthermore an effective interventions needed to be established as soon as possible.
