Objective:To study effects of Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea,tea fortified with selenium and tea fortified with selenium and zinc on lipid peroxidation in rats by measuring glutahione peroxidase(GSH-PX),superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde(MAD)in( blood)serum of the rats. Methods:Forty healthy wistar's rats on two months were randomized into 4 groups with 10 rats in each. Group 1 was treated with tap water, group 2 with Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea ,group 3 with Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea fortified with selenium, group 4 with Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea fortified with selenium and zinc. SOD energies GSH-PX activities and MDA levels in serum were measured 2 months later. Results:The SOD and GSH-PX levels in Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea group increased significantly than those of the tap water group(p<0.01),but there was no marked difference of the MDA levels. Meantime the SOD and GSH-PX levels in serum in other experimental observation groups also increased significantly than that of the tap water group (p<0.01) and they were obviously lower than that of the tap water group in the MDA levels (p<0.01). However, the SOD activities in serum in group 3 were significantly increased than group 4(p<0.05), but there was no marked difference about decreasing the MDA levels in serum . Conclusion: It was suggested that there experimental observation groups could improve the activities of antioxidant in vivo, and Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea fortified with selenium and zinc outweighs Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea fortified with selenium, Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea fortified with selenium is superior to Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea . Lycium chinense Mill leaf tea is worthy of exploiting as the healthful diet for human. Objective:To explore the effect of Opuntia dillenii Haw against oxidation in rats. Methods:Thirty healthy Wistar's rats on two months were randomized into 3 groups with 10 rats in each. Group 1 was treated with tap water, group 2 with Opuntia dillenii Haw low dosage, group 3 with Opuntia dillenii Haw high dosage. Superoxide dismutase ( SOD ) energies ,glutahione peroxidase(GSH-PX) activities and malondialdehyde(MAD)levels in serum were measured 2 months later. Results:The SOD levels in two experimental observation groups increased significantly than those of the tap water group(p<0.01),but there was no marked difference of the MDA levels. Meantime the SOD and GSH-PX levels in serum in Opuntia dillenii Haw low dosage group also increased significantly than Opuntia dillenii Haw high dosage group (respectively p<0.01and <0.05), but there was no marked difference about decreasing the MDA levels in serum . The GSH-PX levels in serum in the experimental control group also increased significantly than Opuntia dillenii Haw low dosage group (p<0.01), but its comparing with Opuntia dillenii Haw high dosage group was no marked difference. Conclusion: It was suggested that the experimental observation groups could improve the activities of antioxidant in vivo, and they could inhibit the occurrence of lipid peroxidation. To hint :the SOD,GSH-PX and the MDA levels in serum are connect with drinking the different concentration of Opuntia dillenii Haw .It is worthy of exploiting as the healthful diet for human.
