The Clinical Research In Treating Hyperplasia Of Mammary Glands Of Stagnation Of Liver-qi Type By Point Application

Background:Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands is one of the diseases high happening in mammary gland during the pregnant and perinatal period,which has symptoms including pain or tumour in mammary glands.Following the progressing of the clinical and experiment of acupuncture,it's effects on the Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands become bigger and bigger.Objective:to observe and evaluate the curative effect of point application in Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands of stagnation of liver-qi type,and to disscuss the possible functional mechanism of it.Methods:60 patients from the acupuncture and the mammary glands outpatient department in the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine were selected according to strict diagnosis criterion,divided to the treat group of 30 cases and the control group of 30 cases.The treatment of the Point Application group is to rub the cream on points of Rugen,Wuyi,Qimen,Fenglong, Taichong,Jianjin and A-shi points on the breast for twice/day,and paused in the menstrual period.Control group:took Rupixiao 5 tablets every time,2 times/day, paused in the menstrual period.Record the data from the two groups,establish the database,analyze them by SPSS 13.0 software package.Results:the treat group totel effective rate is 70%,the control group reach to 66.67%,two groups have no statistical significance(P＞0.05).The study showed that the soreness of the breast and its size were both alleviated significantly after treatment in two groups(P＜0.05).The data between before and after treatment has significance, but the same between the two groups has no statistical significance.The point application group has not obvious poisonous side effective,it is more secure than the other group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Point Application is an effective method to treat Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands,especially to alleviate the pain symptom.And it has the advantage of the more simple way to give treatment and no side-effect.This shows that Point Application will have a good prospect of clinical application.
