| Objective To study the clinical effect of Qingjin Jiedu oral for children with viral pneumonia,and to explore its mechanism.Methods We Collected 60 pitients with viral pneumonia in children as our clinical research Objective in Hubei hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.60 cases were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group.The treatment group had 36 cases contained 19 cases of male,female 17 cases,age between 10 months and 11 years old and the average age of 5.4±3.9years.The control group had 24 cases contained 18 cases of male,female 6 cases,age between 1 year old and 11 years old.Patients in the control group had 15 cases and their age was between land 7 years old;Patients in the control group had 9 cases and their age was between 7 and 11 years old,the average age of the control group was 4.8±3.6 years old.Both groups were given basic treatment and symptomatic treatment.The treatment groups were given Qingjin Jiedu oral treatment while the control group were given oral Qingjin Jiedu Analog fluid therapy.We observated the improvement of fever, cough,expectoration,small wet rale disappear number of days before and after treatment in the two groups. results Clinical study showed that the disappearance time of fever,cough,expectoration,small wet rale in the treatment group was more quick than that in the control group.The clinical effect of the treatment group in cough,fever,small wet rale is superior to that of the control group,and the difference was significant,(P＜0.01).The cure rate and the total effective rate in the treatment group,were 61.11%,94.44%respectively.But the cure rate and the total effective rate in the control group were 33.33%,75.00% respectively.X~2 values were 6.57 and 4.71 respectively.P values were less than 0.05.Conclusions Qingjin Jiedu oral of treating viral pneumonia in children could significantly shorten the course of viral pneumonia; it was safe,effective and reliable.
