Phonological Study On The Yue Dialect In Beihai, Guangxi

The thesis is devoted to the description of the phonology of the Yue dialect spoken in Beihai, Guangxi Autonomous Region. This paper selects five representative localities and makes a synchronic study of its phonetic features, including its initials, finals and tones. By comparison, this study shows that the Yue dialect used in Beihai and Cantonese have more characteristics in common than differences.
