A Study Of The Phonetic System Of The Dialect Of Wenshi In Guanyang County

This paper describes the phonetic system of the dialect of Wenshi in Guanyang county Guangxi province,including its characteristics,and by comparing the phonetic system of wenshi with the ones of Gaoshang,Yandong,and Wenqiao,narrates their common characteristics,and concludes that the four dialects are all in the field of Xiang Dialect.This paper is devided into three chapters.Chapter one, simply introduces the situation,population,history and dialects of Guanyang county.Chapter two,describes the phonetic system of the dialect of Wenshi,compares it with the medieval one and the one of Peiking ,and generalizes its characteristics from the aspect of the initial,the final and the tone. Chapter three,compares the phonetic system of the dialect of Wenshi with the ones of the dialects in the north of Guilin,and decides what dialects they are.
